  • what strings did you use? to E off a guitar?

  • @cjliendo Whatever I have lying around usually..this was probably an A and D string

  • thats awesome ,man. i just made my first cigar box guitar, now ill have to make one of these

what 2 strings did you use ?

  • @nextellcup8 Whatever I have lyuing around usually..this was probably an A and D string.

  • love this

  • @krzxBleach Thanks!

  • Sounds great.

  • @clarkewi Thanks!

  • little red rooster, lol.

  • Cheers for the whisky slide!

  • does it soun pretty good without being amplified?

  • i like that the jack is still in the bottle he is playing with

  • Real nice. I love the look.

  • That's one good-lookin', good-soundin' diddley bow!

  • @KYLYKaHYT Thank you!

  • Were you playing slide with a Whiskey bottle? Awsome.

  • @DokSax Yes i was..;-)

  • @DokSax Yep... works great!

  • Please answer, I made a didly bo or however you said it, and it had pickups from a SG, the question is ... do you have to have pickups to produce a load sound?

  • @Mattybehh They have a good sound unamplified... not terribly loud though..if you want loud I would add a pickup.

  • just wanted to say my favourite poison is jack Daniel's but i make my own moonshine aswell

  • Hey im trying to make one of these for my best friend and i wanna make a two string version like you have can you give me a simple tutorial on how to make one of these if you have the time I really like the design and look of yours better than any of the others i have seen and am kinda lost at how to do it at the moment Thank you very much :D

  • @amigodemoose Basically just take a 2X4 and notch it out at one end for your tuners, drill two holes on the other end for the strings to come through - get a piece of pipe and an altoids tin - string it up and you're in business.

  • sorry if i sound stupid but your vid kinda cut halfway out is yours electric coz i ve seen a few, do they have to be electric?

  • @billy6668 They don't have to be electric at all.. I just usually put pickups in them so you have the option..

  • can u make a tutorial on how to play the diddley bow properly

  • @LittleTurtleTV There's really no "proper" way to play the diddley bow. Just do whatever feels right to you! And have fun!

  • @rmenger did u build that didley bow,and can u only play it in key of d at a jam

  • @kymojo1 I did make it and you can tune it to whatever key you want...

  • Cool instrument. =D

  • @legendofwii92 thanks!

  • @rmenger You're welcome.

I'm into any musical instrument, wish I can make my own someday. =)

  • me and littleturtletv are making a band like blue man group but using scrap drums and diddley bow, any tipsss?

  • @ralph007ism - Yep, Have fun and play loud! ;-)

  • lololololo

  • oh the copper wire is good but i keeps snapping and ive used a piece of copper pipe for an acoustic pick up

  • @LittleTurtleTV Yeah.. I would try some broom wire or an actual guitar string.

  • ive made one now but i couldn't get hold of any guitar strings so i used coper wire is that alright

  • @LittleTurtleTV Must say I have never tried copper wire.. would think it would be too soft.. how does it sound? There really are no rules to making diddley bows... People used broom wire for strings back in the day..

  • if im making an acoustic one what strings do i use acoustic or electric guitar string

  • @LittleTurtleTV You can use either.. Bronze acoustic strings do sound better though.

  • Its kinda cool bro

  • @keymankeys1960 thanks!

  • What gives a better sound? Jack Daniels or Southern Comfort?

  • @gr4tuitou5 I like these little JD bottles... but pick your favorite poison!

  • Comment removed

  • i think four strings would be sweet

  • im gonna be building a diddley bo soon....could all 6 strings go on the diddley bo?

  • There's really no rules as far as I know.. I like the simplicity of one or two strings myself though.

  • where can i buy one

  • you make them, not buy them, it's more fun that way

  • dang cool! i like that you built that yourself! please come see some of my homemade instruments too. I play blues.

    One love, one heart!

    White Wolf

  • Thanks.. ;-))

  • dude you look like young mickey rouke... hope you don´t like him when you´re at his age... :-)) cheers!
