Pavarotti is the best singer, ever. He WANTED to get opera to the masses, not just the well-bred and rich...so he did lots of duets with singers like his bff Sting, George, Michael J..etc. If you had never heard opera or Pavarotti, this might get you interested. Brilliant!

If you are attached to the old version of elton + george then this song won't be so beautiful to hear... nevertheless, all of pavarotti & friends' songs are edited versions of the old songs.. so it is natural to sound different .. :)

i love the mix of this song, it did not alter the melodic line even if the voices are different ... :)

Personally, I think George looks very uncomfortable throughout the whole performance. (I am a massive George fan) Especially from 4:32 onwards.

Pavarotti strated showing up with great Pop artist like George Michael, Celin Dion and Michael Jackson to basically sell out.

The artist I listed were already commercial artist, Pavarotti was not.

Who have to be a fan of Operatic vocalist to appreciate his vocals and most would agree that his vocals are not a good contrast to Pop vocals.

Every Pavarotti sonag sounds the same to the average ear. Can you imagine him attepting to sing Faith?

With all due respect to both artists, the duet sucks. Pavarotti ruined the song for real as his voice clashes with George's, basically it's of a completely different nature to George's. I believe that George Michael's duet with Elton John was and will always be the most magnificent performance as far as this song is concerned.

In my opinion that's the great thing about the mixture. Just like queen did with pavarotti, george michael combines the classical voice and the pop voice. For the same reason he sings in italian.
