@dontmesswitme1 Automatic weapons carry heavier charges. Plus I'd imagine they're alot more difficult to get ahold of, especially considering these guys throw their weapons away after using them.

A very accurate showing of how not everybody drops in one of these shoot outs. 50 yards is the maximum effective range for a Colt .45 is about 45-50 yards, and thats with a good shooter. 9 mil are lighter in caliber and all around weight, but they're harder to handle at that same range in the hands of a poor shooter.

Damn, the first time I saw this I knew Dante killed Tosha. Cuz as soon as he fired the gun, she dropped instantly. Plus when they show the body, it shows she got hit in the forehead. Watching this show for the first time in England on BBC 2, halfway through season 1. Hooked already and this show is on every damn night. Man, you Yanks make some quality tv!!
You people gotta listen to the Audio commentaries on them DVD's unless you all watch it off bootlegged Avi files or on TV. I didn't notice Dante' accidentally shooting Tosha too, but ( I think it was David Simon) in the commentaries points that out...anyway If you love the show, at least rent the DVD's and re-watch an Episode with the commentaries on. One of my favorite is Domenic West (McNulty) and Michael K. Williams (Omar) commentary on one of the episodes in Season 2.

You have a point, but if 10 people shootin in the same spot at 4 target in the same spot chaces are someone would get shot. Let not for get Kimmy to in the middle of the shootout to check on Tosha and they contintue to shoot mutiple bullets at them but her and Omar didn't take a bullet. To many bullets going in the same direction just me somebody would catch something. Beside friendly fire.

@WiseGuy5674 When did he say he was using birdshot? Pellets from that are only a little bigger than grains of sand. If he was, he'd only be able to kill at about 7 yards away. Even still, if he's using 00 ("pumpkin balls"), after 25 yards there's a lot of scatter. Within that range, yeah, he'd tag em', but past that, low probability. I'm citing Suarez's "Tactical Shotgunning," btw.

Damn, the first time I saw this I knew Dante killed Tosha. Cuz as soon as he fired the gun, she dropped instantly. Plus when they show the body, it shows she got hit in the forehead. Since she was runnin AWAY from the house at the time, her back was turned. Meaning the only person who could shoot her in the forehead was Dante, cuz he was in front of her....

Problems with the heist:
1) A more thorough stake-out could have shown the guys in the back.
2) Somebody should've been wheelman. Exit strategy is 1/2 the battle.
3) Spread out from the beginning of the shooting. 2 going across the street would've helped out tremendously.

I never noticed that Tasha got shot by her own people. And I've seen every episode of this show like 3 times at least. I always assumed that she got hit from Barksdale's people in the stash house.

i never even Noticed dante accidently shott her. thats krazy. but this scene is Rediculous :l this shootout lasted almost 2 minutes. cops would have been there in a Minute flatt....i guess its different in Baltimore tho. in most hoods, cops stay on patrol...so gunfights never last more than 10 seconds before the whole scene is cleared.

You people gotta listen to the Audio commentaries on them DVD's unless you all watch it off bootlegged Avi files or on TV. I didn't notice Dante' accidentally shooting Tosha too, but ( I think it was David Simon) in the commentaries points that out...anyway If you love the show, at least rent the DVD's and re-watch an Episode with the commentaries on. One of my favorite is Domenic West (McNulty) and Michael K. Williams (Omar) commentary on one of the episodes in Season 2.
