When did Molly stop growing? My female bloodhound is almost nine months and is near 80 pounds.

@Coachmaster We are on our second female Bloodhound and both reached about 110 lbs. They stopped growing at around 2 years old.

@wetjam03 That's great news. Everyone said she was pretty much finished growing and I thought she was going to be small for a bloodhound, since I heard they can get over 100, like yours did. My bloodhound's growth has slowed down now compared to for the first few months, did yours just slowly grow the rest of the way?

@Coachmaster yes, it was slow, between 1st & 2nd birthday, we only realized she was growing when she weighed in at the vet.

are they bark a lot? i live in flat, is quite big and is a lovely beach jut a coupla of yards away from where i stay. But my neighbors are very fussy, i would definately have problem if dog bark. please give me advise wheter to buy this dog or not

Our Bloodhound "Lacey" only barks when she sees another dog through the fence. When she is at the dog park she doesn't bark at all. But when Lacey does bark its very very loud, mixed with howling.

Bloodhounds are BIG & LOUD, Very messy and Strong. They need lots of exercise to help burn all their energy. Theyre not like the Bloodhounds you see on TV lying on the porch all day. If you love dogs, once you own a Bloodhound its hard to imagine life without one.

Please read about Bloodhounds prior to buying one. When a bloodhound owns you, you have an incredible responsibility to them. They are big, they slobber, and they eat a lot. They have absolutely no road sense at all so you need to protect them with a fenced yard and walk them only with a lead. In return the bloodhound will be incredibly devoted, loving and they tend to constantly warm your heart.

hey i was thinking about getting a bloodhound, i was wondering how hard they are to walk? as in due to their incredible sense of smell are they too likely to take off after a scent? meaning i'd have to continually have him/her on a lead?

Bloodhounds, like mine, are extremely strong and with mine, hard to walk. I suggest getting a puppy and start from scratch or instead of walking your dog, the dog will walk you. lol

you know, i took my hound off the leash ALL THE TIME. just train em, i suggest electrical collar. but u can def walk them off leash, i know many ppl that do it

I didn't understand because the colors of a Bloodhound are black and tan, liver and tan, and red; the darker colors being sometimes interspersed with lighter or badger-colored hair, and sometimes flecked with white. A small amount of white is permissible on chest, feet, and tip of stern.
