Hi!

I' ve just a Akrapovic Exhaust on full power.

This bike get 136 hp with the RAM air and maybe 140 hp with the exhaust.

With my weight ( 55kg ), I take 299km/h on CLOCK SPEED, so maybe 285km/h on real speed. ( 179mph )

But don't worry, 165mph is really good!

In France, we have good fuel with good tires ( Michelin ) on a good road...That' s maybe just the difference I think...

In states, like here in MT where I live, you can choose 87,89 or 91 octane fuel. In Europe lowest you can get is 95 octane! Doesn't sound like big difference but when you try both, you realize how big difference actually is ...

@chinoisautomoto A stock 636 isn't going to go faster than a true 160 mph. At that speed it no longer produces enough horsepower to overcome the aerodynamic drag. It would have to a) have more horsepower to go faster, b) have a lower drag coefficient or c) have both.

@SeriouslyOut88 ...ummm NO, that will do nothing for it at those speeds...you will simply take longer to get there and have slightly lower RPM's when your there...don't care if you have a rear that is the size of DVD...at that speed you need less drag or more power, or both.

In Serbia,Macedonia (FYROM),BiH, Greece (maybe) and I am not sure which (more) countries you can actually SEE the octane level. Usually that is 95. In usa, that level is way lover, that's just one of reasons why is fuel cheaper in states and in a same time why it sucks.(usa around 2.80 per gallon,europe 5$ to7$ per gallon depends where)

Best way to prove is my Chally. It runs waaaaaaay better in europe. You can easily feel the difference....

@CveleNis81 Octane level has nothing to do with quality or performance. Also, if your bike is tuned to run 87 and put 91 on it you are actually hurting its performance. An example of this would be a 2006/07 GSX-R600. They are tuned for 87 but so many ignorant riders think that the higher octane level is somehow better so they put 91 in and don't realize they are actually robbing their bike of horsepower. Get educated before making such comments.

The US uses the average of the RON and the MON which is known as the AKI. Because of the 8 to 10 point difference between RON and AKI the octane rating shown in the United States is 4 to 5 points lower than the rating shown elsewhere in the world for the same fuel. Hence why 93 in the US would be 98 in Australia.
