Thank you for posting what came to be one of the last lectures of Friedrich Kittler, as his health was already failing him in 2010. He passed away yesterday morning, 18 October 2011. He was brilliant, the breadth and depth of his learning was unmatched, and he balanced in a captivating way between paradoxality and simplicity. His ability to draw long reaching analogies and enormous span of train of thought was fascinating.
