With Sovereign nation states able to define trade policy and standards on their own and enforce them at their borders, this creates the need for corporations to meet those different requirements in each 'market' causing them to have several inventories all slightly different depending on the country of destination- This cuts into their profitability and creates a perceived 'trade barrier'. Regardless, I agree with her that borders are inherently absurd. But eliminating them shouldn't give people an excuse to live irresponsibly, and always 'run away' from their problems.

dude, i don't think people of the third world are seeking a 'geographical cure' for their problems in the same way we do. and if they do, so the hell what? anyway, regardless of their reasons for leaving (btw... one of the MAJOR causes of dictatorships and famines and ecological collapse is having a 'captive' audience), put the shoe on the other foot, pls!
