Best recording a a REAL sonic boom I have heard so far. A lot of dicks here just post a picture of a condensation cloud around the front of a slow moving plane and call THAT a "boom". This is great.
reminds me of the SR-71 double boom. Very common in my area back in the glory days.. Sonic booms are a symbol of Aviation slowley being pushed down by whiners.
I lived in Central Florida just across the Indian river from Kennedy Space Centre back in 2000-2003 and the sonic booms from returning space shuttles were truly something amazing to experience. thanks for this vid.
last time it land here in florida it was late at night it was 2am i was up and i forgot it was coming in fuckn shit my pants it was so loud my windows shaked
Sonic Boom is when a thing breaks the sound barrier
in other words sound travels at a certain rate right?
so when you go faster then sound your breaking what you call the sound barrier. its not really breaking but its just going past the speed of sound and a loud bang is occurs due to the sound being more and more compressed because it cant get out of the way until you reach the speed of sound and all that sound is released in a bang ^^
a sonic boom is when an object (normally jets or space shuttles) break the sound barrier. if you ever heard a plane pass by you are hearring the sonic boom
@ChaosHedgehog2 Um not if you anywhere in america at least. FAA regulations do not allow for supersonic speeds over 95% of america. The only other places are in designated military areas and is very seldom
yea, it's when you break the sound barrier (going faster than speed of sound) or when you go subsonic which is going from faster than sound to slower than sound.
I heard that in Alabama same thing from Florida

o_o ..shit

Actually it is the air which is being compressed and then hit each other which then creates boom sounds
