Im a white guy myself that plays indian tablas, but you know what? I practice with a guru and take the riyaz (practice) very serious. Im sick and tired of seeing westerners (white people) just picking up a sitar or any indian instrument and thinking they can play it properly like its a guitar or something. This is just horrible and disrespectful to the instrument and music that indians have worked on mastering for 2,000 years. These 2 look ridiculous, damn hippie drug addicts.

@sharangman I got mine for about $350, new, and it plays great. That's pretty affordable, compared to other instruments. A competitive-brand guitar can easily range from $400-$2,500.
