  • @TheTORcorp Maybe we are more observant and maybe we aren't? God I hope so. It would make no sense to do an anti gay marriage video from a strip club... I think the video was meant to be pretentious.

  • This is not an anti-gay video , I think :)

  • I think this proves that many people don't get IRONY!

  • This video was hilarious! Right on, 9in10!

  • retarded people!! Poor people!!! fuck people!!! YESSSSSS gay marriage!!!!!! I am gay so WHAT?? mother fuckers!!!!!! get a life !!! frustrated people!!!!!

  • ...ouch. That makes me sad that people really want it to be gone. And to say that lesbian sex is for entertainment purposes only...it's for the love of two people. I mean, okay I understand that people can get arroused by it but to put that in the same sentence as "Say NO to gay marrige" is just awful. Since this is from a comedy festival, I dunno if this is a joke or serious? Maybe I shouldn't take this serious. I'm happy that my country is okay with gay marrige anyway. So happy.

  • never seen an antigay marriage as hot as this one, but there is more men in here. however,. that chicks ass was sweet

  • There can be no comprise with God. e-sword(dot)com has a FREE Bible download.

Jesus Said: "You must be Born Again" Read the Gospel of John Chapter 3

You cant have both good and evil living together, they are at war with one another, So one must conquer other. Evil uses Lies, Games and manipulations. Deceit is its weapon of Choice. Satan is Lord of Evil.

Trust Jesus come over to what is Righteous, only in Christ can we have Peace with God, no other way to the Father.

Jesus is Lord of all Amen

  • @ighforever Um, dude, I am a christian, but you can't combat homosexuality with religion. It won't work since there are atheists and other non Christians or religious people who support gay marriage. I'm against gay marriage, not because of my beliefs, but simply because I think it's not right to give them the right to marry while other people hwo actually bust their asses like the immigrants get nothing but a one-way ticket back to their 3rd world home country. That is my honest opinion.

  • @Hitmonchan107 The kids in Africa have no food so you shouldn't be allowed to eat either! Great logic dude.

  • @runedermilot Why thank you. You and I will be anorexic in a few days.

  • Trying to use sinners to Justify sin is not a very good idea. Whoever marketed this doesnt get it.

Jesus was sent by the Father out of Love for us all. He wanted us to see in Jesus who he is and to want all that he has and offers. Those who accept Jesus as Lord OVER there Life want Eternal Life as a son or daughter of God. They will Love God and Obey all God commands, We are his Servants.

Also disciples, for God teaches us to be Just like him in what we think, do, even how to Love.

    continued..

  • This is beautiful. *applauds*

  • There you are the thruth!

I'm a gay supporter because I don't really care about what others do or not. For that reason HATERS just one thing:

GET A LIFE!!! LIFE is awesome when you live your own story.

PS. The "holy" bible is just a book, written by humans and interpreted by themselves. It is not even a topic for any subject. FULL STOP!

  • Lesbian sex is for entertainment purposes only LOL :o))

  • i wont give a rats behind what a person does with his or her life, but i would have said yes to prop 8 because i want to make one persons life very terrible. so, if that means ruin a few thousand relationships for hurting one person, then fine with me. sorry peoples :) maybe next time, but right now i am loving his reaction now. he can't get married to his boyfriend, so sad, but so great to smile about and laugh at. hope he likes being hurt as much as i was :) little asshole.

  • SweetP041590, that has got to be the lowest, most vindictive thing I have ever heard in my life. Your logic disgusts me.

  • YouTube is full of doucebags like her.

  • Theres been alot of talk about gay marriage lately. Im STRAIGHT out against it! ROFL!

  • This is quite possible the worst add I have seen to vote on gay marriage yet.

  • You're awesome. It's about time somebody said it.

  • I love you guys.

  • shit

  • bag?

  • Marriage is so holy.

  • Want to see why homosexuals should be allowed to be married OR adopt our children?

    Google: zombietime folsom

  • Yes. That represents all gays. Just like the KKK represents all whites.

And your sentence is grammatically incorrect. Did you mean "should not"?

  • Dude, those crucifix dildos are awesome. I want one.

  • yes on 8! but this was the dumbest video I have ever seen.

  • hahahah we still won on Prop 8!!!!!

  • Yes, but you are still alonely troll. That will not change, no matter whose rights you take away.

  • Haha all these fools are sucking each others dicks anyways.

  • this video was hella gay! lol get it gay.. an their fighting for gays. nvm hahaha halarious bt i guess im an idiot for voting yes. lol

the "idiot" who voted yes on prop 8

  • Yes, you are an idiot. Not only for voting yes, but also because your idiocy is apparently from your awful writing and lame sense of humor.

  • Im going to give you ... Im sorry I cant stop laughing, an opportunity to look at this sentence you so eloquently constructed, and reassess who you think the idiot with the awful writing is.

Consequently, I didn't vote on Prop8, but It was a good attempt on your part.

  • Any flaws in our responses to you are from laughing our asses off at your ignorance and stupidity.

  • Whatever you say there hop scotch.

  • Whatever you say poop shoot.

  • The sentence is perfect but for a simple typo. "Apparently" should be "apparent." If you want to talk about typos, we can. But I don't think you actually do. The comment wasn't directed at you, anyway, troll boy.

  • I don't think A person can be against men being gay, but then be entertained by two girls being lesbo! It's pretty jacked up! Gay is gay!! Man or woman!! Homosectuality is sweeping across the world! We can only pray and hope that these people wake up! Until lets stand for righteousness which would be no same sex marriage PERIOD!!

  • "homosectuality"? Is that when church going folk stray from the cult? C'mon B...you know you are a closeted Mansonite.

  • Why assume that this person is coming from a "church" perspective? Anti-homosexuality has been around long before the Church has been around and homosexuality is condemned by Atheists as well as various world religions. So being against homosexuality is quite a harmonizing philosophy. But the people I know who are most accepting of fairness to someone who is a homosexual are Christians. So attacking them serves no purpose other than weakening efforts to gain additional acceptance of gay rights.

  • Oh, is there a central "Atheist" doctrine you are referring to?

Also, you realize that racism and sexism have been "around long before the Church" too, right?

  • Yeah, well the bible condoned slavery and treating women as property. Which is why I got the DOUBLE sized cage for both my African buddy Rashidi, and my lovely wife, Marissa. It's a happy Christian life for me =]

  • Did you get your slave from sacking a village of unbelievers? And did you get your wife by raping her and paying her father 50 shekels of silver? Because that's how I got mine.

  • PrepeiNaSasPw, I'm not sure but were you addressing me? If so, yes, I'm well aware that racism and sexism have existed long ago. As for Atheism, its' central principle is that there is no God. So, I'm not sure what you are asking me.

  • Your statement that "homosexuality is condemned by Atheists as well as various world religions" proves nothing. I could say the opposite is just as true: "Homosexuality is accepted by Atheists as well as various world religions."

You try to imply that "atheists" as a group oppose homosexuality. That is patently false. Indeed, the opposite is probably true (more atheists probably think homosexuality is fine or don't care one way or the other).

  • All atheists oppose Christianity

    Some atheists oppose homosexuality

If you think that the 2nd statement makes homosexuality wrong, then you MUST think that the 1st statement makes Christianity wrong.

  • My point is rather simple so I'm not sure why you're missing it. I'm not saying that ALL Atheists are anti-homosexual. Not at all. I'm just saying that religion or lack thereof, is not the only reason someone would be opposed to gay marriage. People who are opposed to homosexuality come from all walks of life. That's all I'm trying to say.

  • And people who support gay marriage come from all walks of life. But more people oppose gay marriage on the basis of religion than not. Would you agree with that?

  • But what you are missing is then is that the genesis of their anti-gay attitudes is still so-called "Christian" or "religious" dogma that has pentetrated mainstream society. Before organized religion, homosexuality was an accepted fact of life. Atheists' view of homosexuality is probably informed by religion in some way. For example, to suggest that an american atheist's viewpoints are not shaped by the judeo-christian society around him/her, is ludricrous.

  • Being an Atheist I resent the notion that its not possible for an Atheist to come to his or her own decision through logic and critical thinking less the influence of religion. Its AMAZING that a group, would exert themselves to be accepted by another group and its customs, who categorically reject them. With all the problems we have in this world, this is what we concern ourselves with? This is fodder for you simpletons to argue over so that you dont pay attention to whats going on around you.

  • Fizzy...society is all about people trying to win their place in it. Your argument could be made about any minority of people trying to gain acceptance. America in the days of the pilgrims is much more different than today. It's because people fought for change. I frequently hear many conservatives lust for a return to the 50's. Maybe, as an atheist, you should look up what they did to people like you back then. Better yet, look towards the brewing war against Atheists that is coming up.

  • Even more, Civil Unions are the best, most progressive concept society has to offer. However, I cannot partake in one because I am straight. Go figure. I guess my point is, why be part of something so backward and corrupt, when you can have something better? Let the jesus freaks have their "marriages". Who cares? If you are just looking to start a fight not only will you loose, but waste everybody's time in the process. There are more important things to concern ourselves with.

  • "Go figure." Are you serious? It's like saying that white people secretly want to drink out of the Black fountain.

"Jesus freaks" didn't invent marriage. They have no trademark or copyrights over the word or the institution. Gay people don't want "marriage," what they want is the SAME recognition of their relationships as everyone else gets BY THE GOVERNMENT. The government could call it marriage, or unions, or ubbbuh-dubbuh. As long as it's the same, that's all gay people are seeking.

  • This is a common argument, but It does not fly with me. You cannot compare the plight of homosexuals to black suffering in this nation. Black people cant just wake up on morning and decide to be white. All things equal, Jesus Freaks aside, There is no historical evidence to support the marriage of gay couples. To the contrary, ROMANCE and LOVE historically had NO PLACE in marriage. It was about ownership (slavery) of women and joining of clans, strengthening armies and religious tradition.

  • Newsflash: You actually can point out that two groups' plights share similarities without trivializing either. Also, it's offensive that you are suggesting that gay people should wake up one day and "decide" to be straight.

As for marriage, you are making MY point for me. Because traditionally marriage had nothing to do with love, and modern marriage has nothing to do with joining clans, then it stands to reason that marriage as we know it is a NEW institution that should be open to all.

  • Maybe you don't consider the rampant gay-bashing and murders of LGBT men and women across this country a problem. Maybe you don't think that government executions of gays in the Middle East is a problem. I do. And I know that the solution to these problems is to get people to realize that gay people are just like everyone else. If that means acceptance by another group and its customs, then so be it. Though I don't think there are two "groups" here. I think this is a multilayer problem.

  • I dont know what the term "Husband and Husband" and the murder of innocent men and women for ANY reason have in common. To go one step further, ALL people undergo some sort of criticism or "bashing" as you would like to call it for one reason or another. Muslims bash christians, christians bash atheists, atheists bash christians, italians bash irish. Gay, Atheist, Christian, are not all alike. Our Differences is what needs to be accepted, not our likeness.

  • Well then I'll explain. If the government denies gays rights, it stigmatizes them. Official stigma contributes to popular stigma. It allows people to be shameless bigots ("why be ashamed of my hatred, even the government doesn't believe they should be treated equally!") These attitudes lead to attacks. When I say bashing, I don't mean comments on YouTube, I mean Matthew Shepard and Gwen Araujo. I mean hateful commits and teasing that lead gay teens to commit suicide.

  • Here in lies the problem. The govt. does not deny gay rights. The people of CA, mostly religious people I might add, VOTED to change the state constitution. THE PEOPLE. And while I typically dont agree with Bill Mahr he was right when he said "The 800lb gorilla in the room here is RELIGION" not, gay marriage. Hence again, I say to you in all confidence, you are wasting your time being occupied with this garbage, when there is a much bigger underlying issue. Think about it.

  • If you put civil rights for black people up for a vote in 1962 they wouldn't have gotten it. You are just a nonsense spewing douchebag.

  • I wouldn't have to "think about it" if you were just clearer in expressing your opinions. This post means nothing to me. You shouldn't make the reader search for your arguments. You should make them directly, concisely, and clearly.

Also, the government most certainly does deny gay rights. It has (at various points in recent history, and in some cases, still does) criminalized gay sex, prohibited same-sex marriage, and allowed discrimimination and firing based on sexual orientation.

  • You would realize that this would only be discrimination if, the law singled out homosexuals. It apply s to all, equally, regardless of the circumstance. Gays, can still get married. Nobody said Gays cannot get married. What is stated is that marrying the same sex is not recognized. This apply s to all, regardless of age, sex, race, or sexual orientation. Hence, it does not discriminate. Also, if you did not pickup what "Think about it" meant, I dont know what to tell you.

  • Hmmm. Now I know you are just fucking around with us. Cause that's about as absurd of an argument as they come. Your just a gay person out rick-rolling the rest of us.

  • Ok there short stack. Im explaining why the premise of the argument, discrimination, wasn't valid, not arguing weather gays should be "married" or not. My argument is fundamentally sound. Homosexuals would be better suited, fighting the influence of Religion on our government then this petty crap. This is the real issue. Wake the fuck up. Its like someone robbing your house while keeping you occupied with shiny objects. "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain" Morons.

  • If you are so concerned with separation of church and state issues, why don't YOU do something about it?

  • I do, I vote Libertarian. I vote for candidates that believe and govern by the constitution. Who did you vote for, Obama, McCain? Both pander to the religious sensibilities of this nation, lick their finger and stick it up in the air to see which way the political wind is blowing instead of following the constitution.

  • Oh, I see. You consider "voting" to be taking action. You've bought into the hype. "If you vote, you rock!" Voting is the most basic and minimal form of participation. I hardly think merely voting constitutes doing something about church/state separation issues.

  • Obviously you need to "buy into the hype". Voting for elected officials is the most powerful tool the populace has to governing. Who you put in office determines what you get out of government. Why am I having to give you social studies 101? Sad thing is, you unfortunately represent the majority of Americans who either dont vote, or dont research their candidates, then get pissed off when BS issues like this come up.

  • Learn to read. I said that voting is the "minimal form of participation" that one can undertake. It's not the most powerful. If you want to effect change, you need to hit the streets, organize, write articles, and reach people. Compared to that, your one vote really isn't all that.

Oh, and you're right, I'm an idiot who doesn't understand the law or gov't. I guess I should go trade in the law degree I got from one of the top 3 law schools in this country.

  • Thats where you are wrong. Votes do count. It is the most powerful tool we have. It determines who makes government policy on your behalf. What could be more important than that?

No disrespect, but if you are an attorney I would be very surprised. Mind you, you dont have to go to one of the "top 3" law schools to be a great lawyer. In contrast, you could go to the best schools in the nation and still be a schlep. Im sure you would agree.

  • Of COURSE voting is important. But voting is the bare minimum anyone should do. You can't try to claim you are an agent for change just because you vote. Oh, and by the way, libertarianism is trendy.

Oh, and I don't care if you are "surprised." I'm just telling you. I graduated top of my class and make a lot of money doing legal work. Maybe you should take that as a hint that I know what I am talking about and that you, on the contrary, do not. Or don't. I don't care.

  • Libertarians are constitutionalists. Its not a trend, its a way of life. Being gay on the other hand, that's trendy, but I digress.

As for your "money" I would probably be more believing if you spoke less of your magnificent credentials. People who lie tend to embellish and sensationalize their statements. Hence, rather than letting your skill in argumentation speak on your capabilities, you must reinforce it with an Ivy League school and a big paycheck which really have no bearing.

  • I understand that's your opinion, but it's not the way the law works. Arguments like yours have been rejected time after time. People used to argue that disallowing blacks and whites from marrying was not singling anyone out becuase, after all, blacks could still marry (other blacks) and whites could still marry (other whites). You see how that's the same argument right? So now you must see how your post is an epic fail. Thanks for playing.

  • Im sorry, but being black is not a type behavior. You cant wake up one morning and decide you aren't black anymore. Do you see the fallacy in your argument now? Exactly how long did you spend coming up with this? If this is the best argument you can formulate then you are better off staying quiet. This isnt a game we play, this is real life. Now go away and let the adults talk.

  • Oh, I see, so when the flaw in your argument is exposed, you retreat to another argument? That's cute. Just so you know, there are gay black people and if you talk to some of them you might be surprised to learn that they don't share your view on discrimination.

  • Ok, so now we are on gay black people. I cant figure out here whats more confusing, your random unsubstantiated points, the way you make them, or the way you defend them. You should really think these things through before you start typing. Im not trying to be rude either, you seem like you could be a bright guy however your just not applying yourself. So hesitantly I will ask, what does being Gay, and Black, have anything to do with your comparison of Gay marriage, to the civil rights struggle.

  • You keep saying that "you can't change your color, but you can suppress your gayness." The implication is that oppression faced by gay people is somehow not as bad as that faced by blacks. Gay black people (who suffer both types of discrimination) will often confirm (but not unanimously, of course) that there are indeed many similarlities. Also, your position that because some gay people can "hide" their gayness, they should, is repulsive. No one should have to hide who they are.

  • Im sorry but Im not going to continue to argue this point because it has no foundation and is quite frankly ludicrous. You cannot compare the issue of gay marriage to the atrocities black had to endure. Why not just compare it to the holocaust while your at it I mean shit, if you are going to be overly dramatic you might as well go all the way.

  • You just don't get it. Here, let me try to be as clear as possible. The oppression suffered by Black people in this country is a thousand times worse than that suffered by gay people. I agree with you!

  • To say something is worse, is to insinuate that they can even be compared. They cannot, as they are two completely different things. Gay marriage, / Slavery & Jim Crow are not two things that can be honestly compared and contrasted. You would be better suited comparing gay marriage to that of polygamy as those two topics have the same basic conflict.

  • He's using the wrong example. A better one is the miscegenation laws (interracial marriage) before they were struck down by the courts. Interracial marriage was seen as the bane of society. There were passages from the bible that were used to justify them. The social conservatives were against them for pretty much the same reasons gay marriage is opposed. If interracial marriage had been put to vote in the late 50's I'm sure we could have amended the constitution to ban it.

  • This argument may seem solid on the surface but again, it isnt. Homosexuality is a type of behavior, or, what you "like". Some like same sex's, some like both sex's, some like opposite sex's. Just because you like it doesnt mean society must accept it, just because society doesnt accept it doesnt make it wrong but it does make it law. I believe that Polygamy should not be legislated. If a guy wants to marry 10 wives let him have it, but the people say no. Same with gay marriage.

  • But you don't seem to understand that there are similarities in the methods/justifications for the hate: (1) the Bible (to many, it supported slavery and treating Blacks as inferior); (2) discrimination (gays can't serve openly in the military and can be fired just for being gay); (3) targets of abuse (lynchings, hate crimes, etc.).

Of course they are different. But just because one is worse and is different in many ways, doesn't mean we can't learn from one mistake in dealing with another.

  • Using that justification you can compare anything to the plight of proponents of gay marriage. I understand your angle on the point, but the fact the point needs an angle demonstrates how weak it is. A=C and B=C so A=B does not work. (All tomatoes taste good, All squash taste good, therefore all tomatoes are squash.) In case you didn't understand propositional logic, not to be a smart ass.

  • I think it's sad when people think they are smarter than they are. I've given you too many chances already to demonstrate a basic level of intelligence. Now I'm just wasting my time. Good luck in life! Maybe you'll never have to learn how not smart you actually are. Ignorance (and stupidity) are bliss.

  • Don't let the dumbfcuk off the hook that easy. The db bigot should have his idiocy enshrined forever on the intertubes.

  • Im sorry, but did you take the time to proof-read your sentence before you hit the "Post Comment" button? You called me a "dumbfcuk" and said I suffering from idiocy? Seriously, if you are going to attack someones intelligence at least use spellchecker first. Also, do you know what a bigot is? I dont see how my position on the effects of religion and government makes me a bigot.. maybe a heretic. Dictionary's make great Christmas gifts, pick one up.

  • Are you really giving spelling and/or grammar advice? A typo (such as an inverted c and u) is nothing compared to the fundamental grammatical weaknesses in almost everything you write. You don't use apostrophes where needed (see, e.g., "Im sorry" and "I dont see"). But then you use them improperly in other places (see, e.g., "Dictionary's make great Christmas gifts...). And that's just the beginning...

  • Only spelling, not grammer. I dont use apostrophes because they use up free characters I need to make my points. Try again.

  • Here's a perfect example. 9in10dotorg's error was clearly typographical. Yours show that you cannot spell. You attack 9in10 for spelling errors, but have only the lamest defense for yours.

I mean, "grammer," seriously? Do e's count less than a's toward total character count?

"So tell me, who's points are more often than not, irrelevant?"

First, "who's" means "who is," not "whose" (the possessive of "who").

Second, you don't know how to use commas.

38 years old and this? Sad

  • Here we go, round and round about nothing that has to do with the topic. How many of these do you need to post really? I mean, you think you are making a point about something important when you are not, its obvious you are diverting attention away from the debate. Nothing in the previous post has anything to do with what we have been discussing, and all you give me to respond to is this garbage. I mean really. Isnt it enough all ready?

  • I think its sad when people mistake their insults for intellect. Its obvious by this post that you have lost the argument as you left the debate and switched to personal attacks. Very sad indeed, but really quite entertaining. I would have rather you conceded with some dignity but an undignified exit is just as well. All bullshit aside, this last post goes to show how hateful and unreasonable you really are. If you where any sort of person with integrity you wouldn't act this way.

  • I can't discuss this with you because you don't have any valid points. You say things randomly. I refute them. And then, without responding to what I've actually said, you make another invalid (and often irrelevant) point.

To put it another way, your posts might as well be: ahsdiavb adisojfaids ajklcvjzic aswen ablk satocasdfakjsdf;aljd jasldkfja d.

Because that's how clear your posts are(n't).

    Thank you and good night.

  • Im sorry friend but you are dillusional. You have made no real substantial points with regards to any discussion, you dont address any of my points directly, you continuously attempt to invalidate them not through facts but by appealing to emotion. Your last 3 or 4 posts have been to discuss not the topic, but your opinion of my intelligence. So tell me, who's points are more often than not, irrelevant? I wish I could take you seriously but up to this point, you have not produced anything.

  • I was over you, but I can't let this one go. No one is saying that gay *marriage* is like atrocities blacks had to endure. But gays have suffered, too. In fact, you point to the holocaust. Maybe you should check your history and realize that in addition to Jews, GAY PEOPLE were targets for Nazis and forced to live (and die!) in concentration camps. That's where the pink triangle symbol gays use now originally comes from.

  • Ok, gays suffer. I suffer, you suffer we all have suffered. Agreed.

I pointed to the holocaust, to demonstrate how ridiculous it would be to compare the slaughter of millions of innocent people to the issue of gay marriage. My point was to interject, that sensationalizing the issues by grasping at parallels to civil rights issues or the holocaust is inaccurate and unnecessary. Its a real issue (gay marriage), it can stand and be challenged on its own merit.

  • The gay rights movement is a civil rights movement. It has various aspects. Marriage is the issue right now, just as it was in the 60's when blacks wanted the right to marry whites (if they so chose). Blacks who wanted the right to marry interracially were asking for something that paled in comparison to what their predecessors were asking for (i.e., freedom!). But it's all part of a continuum of rights.

  • It's all about stages. If blacks started at -200,000 and worked up to -1000, let's say, gays may have started at -5,000 and have to work their way up. You can't argue that gays are not "in the negative" when it comes to civil rights. Gays cannot marry. IN some places, they can be fired. In some places, murdering them is not considered a crime. There is still work to be done.

  • I can point to tons more examples of gay civil rights struggles and how they are similar. Gay bars were raided by police and gay people abused for no reason; when Harvey Milk (and Mascone), two city officials, were murdered, the murderer only got 5 years in prison; and the list goes on and on.

Why don't we do this. Lay out your point and I'll respond. I don't really see what your point has been this entire time. That being gay isn't as hard as being black. Okay. Accepted. Next???

  • Fair enough. My original point was that this issue was media fodder, that the real problem is the influence of religion in government. As an Atheist, I can give a shit who you marry. However, the change to the constitution, even while I dont agree with the change, is valid. It is not a civil rights issue as homosexuality is a type of behavior. Like i said before, If your black, you cant wake up one morning and decide or find out your white. Thus comparing the two is inaccurate.

  • Even assuming what you are saying is true, i.e., that you can stop being gay. The next logical step from that is that if gay people want equal treatment under the law, they should just "stop" being gay. But when have rights even been measured solely by one's ability to change? Freedom of religion, speech, etc. are all things people could change. The point is that in a civilized society, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO in order to get equal treatment under the law.

  • Though it's probably not relevant to my analysis, I don't agree that "homosexuality" is a type of behavior. Being gay cuts to the core of who gay people are. It's about the relationships gay people wish to form in society, not about the sex that they have. It's not about behavior at all. But I don't think this is relevant, so I won't belabor the point.

  • Moreover, I feel that all the state should recognize is Civil Unions. Marriages, should be performed by the churchs, and according to their beliefs as a ceremony only, not state endorsed or sponsored. Church's should be allowed to only perform ceremonies for people who practice within the faith, and within the confines of the belief system meaning, homosexuals cannot force the church to hold the ceremonies for them.

  • Gay people will agree. If everyone got civil unions, that's all gay people want. They want equality under the law. Gay people are not asking to have churches who don't accept them to hold ceremonies for them, any more than Jews ask to be married in Catholic churches.

  • And for that reason mainly, it appears to me to be homosexuals are doing nothing more than wanting to stick a finger in the eye of religious zealots that do not accept them. Its ok, they dont accept me either, but Im not going to start some bullshit fight over being able to participate or be recognized in their backward customs so I can feel better about myself. As long as my girlfriend and I have the same rights (which we dont), call it whatever you want. I would love a civil union for us.

  • This is simply not true. Gay people are not trying to stick a finger in anyone's eye. Indeed, it is their eyes with the finger in them. Marriage does not belong to Christianity. It's a civil right. It is granted by the state. Again, most (if not all) gay people would be fine with the state calling no union a "marriage" and calling them all "civil unions," marriage being something that churches who choose to use that term can use.

  • The problem isnt the gay marriage issue though. Its the latitude with which we give the government power over our lives, and who influences that power. Pick your "behavior", heterosexuality, homosexuality, prostitution, elicit drug use, underage sex, adultery, polygamy, alcohol consumption, the list goes on. Its a disaster! Do you realize that in California, its an underage girls right to an abortion yet I cant get a table dance within 10 feet? What about a woman's right to choose?

  • Your not going to be able to take the term "marriage" from the churches. Like it or not, regardless of how they got it here, they own it. I believe that there are enough people, with enough will to keep this they way it is. Thus, you must change the power the state has if you want to take the term "marriage" away from them and, be consistent. No regulations on any type of Civil Unions.

  • I don't think I understand this point. The term "marriage" is used by our government. It's also used by churches. The people who are against same-sex marriage aren't necessarily against opposite-sex civil marriage. For example, Catholics don't acknowledge civil marriages. If you aren't married in the Church, you aren't truly married. But you don't see Catholics trying to end marriage for all non-Catholics. Their position isn't consistent and it should not be given any deference.

  • Also, some churches do allow same-sex marriage. Notably, unitarian universalists, quakers, episcopalians, and the united church of christ. The question becomes, which denomination has dominion over "marriage"?

  • Vote NO on Marriage.

  • "Homosectuality ?!!"

Seriously, weren't you taught spelling in school?

  • FAGGOTS

  • Well, the Mormons just set themselves back about 50 years. Voters under 30 voted overwhelmingly to defeat Prop 8. The young people of California consider this a civil rights issue. They won't soon forget who came into California to take away the civil rights of others.

This is a sad day for the future of the Mormon church in California.

  • yeah. the mormons are like the kathars. I hope they meet the same fate

  • Bahaha, that rules.

  • this is why i supported prop 8:

homosexuality cannot be socially seen as normal because if it was, people who turn homosexual when will not try to cure themselves. if we grant homosexuals the right to get married, their union will be seen as normal. if homosexuality is normal, there'd be no reason for someone NOT to be homosexual, because it's normal right? wrong. if everyone in the world turned homosexual, we'd be extinct. people have forgotten that it goes against nature to be homosexual

  • Um, what? Because straight parents only raise straight children, right? Kinda like how hanging around with black people makes my skin darker? You're a fucking idiot.

  • Just because seeing two girls make out arouses you, dosen't mean you should think the bitches should be aloud to be married.

People like watching girls play with dildos, should the girls marry the dildos?

  • U ARE A FUNDAMENTALLY SICK HUMAN BEING! what if i said they black people were wrong. if i had sex with a blackperson it would be like playing with a sex toy... theyre not really people, thyre just sex things.... what the fuck is the difference. the difference is theyre people with different colour skin. they didnt chose it. gays are attracted to different things than u are. thye didnt chose that. i conclude that ur stupid. please respond if u want to get verball raped again

  • Comparing black people to dildos? Yes, you're a well educated person.

Theres about 15 spelling errors in that statement, i'm not even going to consider your opinion valid. Was your highschool located inside of a dumpster?

  • Criticizing other people's grammar while writing "aloud" to mean "allowed." Humorous.

  • omg that was funny

  • Omg! Amazing video! hahahahahahahaaha!

  • prop 8 and prop 2 passed so now chickens have more rights than gays ahhahahahahaaahhahahaaahhhhaha aaahhhahhaaahh

  • Someday we will get laws enacted to protect those chickens from chicken-fuckers like you. Mark my words.

  • If the laws get passed, im going to find a few random fags and kill them. Mark my words.

  • some day all u gay cock suckers will choke on your own blood. mark my words mada fucka

  • Thanks for those words of encouragement and well being. Coming from an 'end times' proponent even makes it more special.

  • Thats because we love and care about chickens!!! Duh!

  • i dont understand this whole issue with gays. Being gay isnt something to be embarrassed about, but it SURE AS FUCK isnt anything to be proud of. Homosexuality is a mental disorder. Keep that sick crap behind closed doors.

  • "only idiots vote YES"

true so true over half the people who voted are idiots here in california and it really sucks

  • Okay, remember you can still get married, we're just not considered valid or recognized lol. Give it time and eventually things will change. Again, the amendment doesn't say anything about it being illegal, just not recognized. Spread the word, we can still marry. The people who worded prop 8 are idiots or it's really a ploy just to get it into the US Supreme Court.
