@11xchelsea shutup, they make you sign something at the beginning that says you don't care if they talk about anything that happens in that tent. On it it clearly said "I ____ agree to the terms and conditions of The 99" that gives them the right to throw religion in your face.
Yeah notice how they dont tell you that its a religious ambush at the very end of it. Its was a f&*%ing trap! So offensive in so many ways. I'm sure these people had the best of intentions, but there must be a less brainwashing and offensive way to get through to kids. fail.
They did not throw in "religion" to begin with.... Think of it this way, at the end of the day it is your personal decision that matters.
"tricking people into believing" is just a lame excuse. Its more convinient for people to say this than having to point their finger to themselves... NO ONE is tricking or manipulating anybody!!! This is no different than what you see in commercials and shows on tv. For example, you know that sweets can make you fat but you still slammed the whole bag down y

@nina1986marie I agree. At the very end when they have you sit at a table with a volunteer from the church I really started to get heated. I told the woman I was sitting with that I was already religious and had my own way or worshiping God and my own relationship, and she kept telling me things like I was wrong. Like, I'm wrong unless I worship God the way that church wants me to. It's bull. It's everyone's choice whether they want to be religious or not.
@Sarahmajig What made me feel even more uneasy though was seeing the middle-eastern family who came out after me who seemed nothing short of uncomfortable and offended while hugging their teenage daughter who was in tears She must have been so confused by all of it. I will never forget that.
@Sarahmajig then you went to the wrong person thats acctualy not what its a out, im a voluteer for the 99 and its very inspiring the 99 is to try to get teens to look at where they can end up if they dont change their lives their not trying to force you so you cant judge the whole 99 just by that one lady their just trying to help
@Sassy4256 I don't think you understand what I said. I don't like how the end of the show is basically religious guilt-tripping. I understand that the point of the show is to get kids to realize that what they do can be harmful, but throwing religion into the mix wasn't appropriate, in my opinion.
the 99 is bs
