  • Supes swept those Rockets on route to the Finals....RIP: SEATTLE Supersonics...

  • I really miss those SportsCenter intros! The music too!

  • Doesn't Dan Patrick still work for ESPN?

  • @THE13boudreaux ... no, he has his own daily radio show and conducts a weekly interview in Sports Illustrated.

  • @THE13boudreaux Nope. He quit a while ago. He has his own radio show now.

  • This this is sport center

  • interesting uni conversation. Works in opposite for for the NFL

  • @zzyzx0788 So true! Then they talked about every sport, not just the NFL.

  • What a glorious time it was to tune into SC and not have to hear about fucking Tebow or the Red Sox for 6 hours

  • The good old days. Simple, pure: the best of Sportscenter.

Now they have Jonathan Coachman (of WWE) doing Sportscenter.... smdh...

  • @mjwatts1983 smdh?

  • Triumph @ 0:43 and 0:51.

  • Olberman & Patrick. The Glory Days.

Rich Eisen and Charlie Steiner too. Too bad everyone on ESPN sucks ass now.

  • Sportscenter was better back then.

  • holy shit! @ 0:55 ... is that the first known footage of someone planking?

  • well im glad i can still see Dan on the dan patrick show

  • Sportscenter from 1995-2000 was the best. You had Dan Patrick, Keith Olbermann, Charley Steinner, Craig Kilborn, Bob Ley, Kenny Mayne... the anchors were all just great. I still watch it now but its not like it was then..

  • Dan Patrick was really popular when he joined Sportcenter with Keith Olbermann. When he left the program, he stared in his own program, "The Dan Patrick Show". It has been a dud thus he has past his prime. In other words Dan was no longer interesting.

  • All of the Danettes were still in diapers except for Fritzy.. Haha no seriously you're funny and witty.. Keep up the good work !

  • whoa that rockets logo sucked, i strangely liked the crazy white jerseys a bit but they werent the best lol...anyway sportscenters glory days

  • @shaq4everdominant Stuart Scott actually started doing Sportscenters in 1995.

  • The glory days of SportsCenter, needless to say.

  • 0:56 GREATEST PLANK EVER LOL!

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • It used to be that I could not, possibly would not ever dare miss the 11pm SC. There were amazing in those days. Now, to tell you the truth, I can't remember the last time I watched one. It's boring. I miss Keither, Dan and Kenny

  • THE DREAM TEAM OF THE BIG SHOW!!!

  • This was when SC was still bearable. Now it's just garage and cliche and dumb jocks who know nothing about everything.

  • BOOYAH!

  • When ESPN use to be good

  • @KiLLaHQuEeNZz classic...used to love patrick and olberman 11pm

  • Sprtscenter open from NFL WK 3 1996 - "Premature jocularity in Dallas? Hold on, Deion! Nothing but the bottom of the crossbar!"

  • Keith Olbermann, Dan Patrick = best sportscasters EVER!! ... i want the Darvin Ham backboard smash clip with them doing the commentary, but i cant find it anywhere.. it was the best!!

  • This may have been sportscenter at it's best but ESPN as a whole completely blew. THey would play/air the same shit all day long for like 6 hrs...shit was quite possibly the worst station on TV after the first 4 hrs. Then that bodybuilding shit they used to air for 3 hrs back to back to back? Oh god, that was horrendous.

  • @thirtydayshred Yeah, and now they put on atrocious "asshole talking head opinion-giver" shows instead.

  • @EmceeNolan Exactly. They may have been desperate for mid-day programming in the 90s, leading to bodybuilding, roller hockey, cheerleading, & a variety of other bizarre fringe sports making an appearance on the ESPN airwaves, but at least they were showing actual athletic events. Now they spend far more time talking about sports than actually showing them. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if what the talking heads said wasn't cliche-laden tripe... but it's basically 98% cliche-laden tripe.

  • They really need to go back to this. I know we all feel like everything in the world reached perfection when we were 10 years old, but in this case SportsCenter really did reach perfection when I was 10 years old. What they do today is a pale imitation.

  • Thank you. I thought this was Sportscenter at its best.

  • Do you have any more of the Sportscenters from that time?

  • @SWhit62030 No, not right now at least.

  • @VHSScott can you please upload a sportscenter intro from 1995

  • sportscenter in its heyday

  • It really was great then. I have trouble watching it now.

  • Sportscenter was never better!

  • That saxaphone is fantastic!

  • Dan Patrick is now also with NBC, again paired with Olbermann. He is the studio host for Football Night In America on NBC.
