I for one, found this game to be the greatest roller-coaster of a game ever--from both the action and the people. When I was playing as a Ranger, getting pinned down behind that damned ruin with no extraction, I was panicking. When I was a sniper, I was calm and collected. When I was Rabbit...well, we all know how we all felt with that. But more importantly, this whole game was a dedication to the men and women of our nation, and those that protect it. I will admit, I cried at the end. I had to.

It's a common thing to do in writings for plots, I do it in my books where you make the reader or player get attached and then cry. It boosts emotion and shows true fans. It would be better as a movie though... I hated Rabbits death too.

We salute and keep him in our hearts everyday here in Kabul. I had the privilege of serving with him on two operations in Kandahar. As a Ranger, we look to the SEALs for inspiration in terms of brotherhood.
The storyline was very compelling, but the gameplay was nothing special, it felt too rushed. I beat the game on the hardest difficulty in one playthrough and beat Tier 1 Mode the next day. If EA and Danger Close took their time with this game instead of rushing it out to compete with Black Ops Medal of Honor would have been of of the best shooters out there and would have most likely blown Black Ops out of the water. But at the end of the day the story got it's point across.
@saberjocky i did like the first person cover system it gets far more ingrosed than normal games and i did have a emotional response form the ending, but year i did beat it all on the hardest and tier 1.

to be honest I didnt even realize Medal of Honor had a great soundtrack told me. I mean during the game all i could hear were the amazing gun shots and explosions, such great sound quality.

This could probably be considered a video game documentry as the battle of Takar Ghar is very accurate to what actually happened. When SEALs tried to insert on the mountain they were greeted with gunfire. The chinook spun and lost hyrdralics but made a safe landing away from the fight. A SEAL and Air Force SERE fell out of the chopper and killed 100 taliban before succumbing to death. The Ranger QRF responded took fire and three of their men were killed including their door gunner as shown
I've just one regret, in the end, they didn't mention the other soldier, the french, the belgian, the english ... I think this game should dédicated to all soldiers who fight in Afghanistan at this moment, they're all brave.
@Lepetitpedestre The problem is alot of governments didnt support the fact that this game demonstrated their own soldiers getting killed. So EA focused mainly on the Tier 1 task force instead of others. But I agree, every soldier is a man I hope to be one day.

still this game is a lil biased. it did portray the ANA soldiers in the storyline but left out other coalition forces that contributed to the war effort. Mostly showed American special forces in all their glory and sacrifice. Then again the game was mainly based on Tier 1 operator.
@victorhng True, I live in Canada and our government highly dissaproved of the use of Taliban for some reason. But like the ending said it's only to honor the soldiers. But yeah, like I said. Every soldier deserves recognition. Not just Americans.
@victorhng You also have to consider this was based upon a specific operation over Takur Ghar in which only USSOCOM and ANA forces participated in. While other international forces did participate in Anaconda, it's to only this one incident in which US and ANA forces were present.

There's no law stating they have to make so many British, French, or Australian soldier games... And it doesn't take anything away from those who fight. Anyone with common sense can have respect for anyone in a uniform. I do. And I'm proud to wear one myself. I think this by far beats CoD as far as realism goes.

@Arlon71 The last few mission, which the near death state of rabbit leading up to his death plus the great music really hit. Easily the best parts of the game, it wasn't really until that point that i really felt "into" the game.
