There is no evidence that when visitors are absent, the food and the treatment is the same as when people are touring the camp. Second of all, these people have not faced trial yet, and America is suppose to be "innocent until proven guilty" so the treatment at this facility SHOULD NOT be the same a Federal prison "where people have already been convicted" based on a trial by jury.

All true... I've been to GITMO, seen the facilities and spoken with our military men and women working there. The inmates are much better off there than anywhere else in the US or in other countries. I'm not a politician... just a regular citizen who through a stroke of sheer luck had the singular opportunity to witness what so few people in our country have seen or ever will see... but they continue to bitch and moan about it.

Keep the detention center's open at GITMO.

Michael Moore highlighted the great medical facilities in his movie Sicko 2 years ago. To say "we wouldn't know what to do with them," doesn't speak highly of the prison-for-hire system he endorsed, or our military bases here at home. Inhofe was right about one thing: prisoners held at GITMO have been denied due process and some could be released under the laws of our Constitution, if brought to American soil. Send them to Oklahoma, proud supporters of the administration who created this mess.
