You would be surprised how far one thank you or handshake would go to a soldier leaving for the war or coming back. They put their life on the line and deserve our respect all the time. As a vet of 8 yrs and my wife still active after 15+ yrs it means alot when someone thanks you for your service. God Bless those in harms way every day and night.

Might i correct u? there is/was no way, that Germany AND Russia could have won the war.. they were not on the same side.. the USA, GB, France and Russia faught together against the Axis :) but I agree, back then it made very mutch sence to fight the Nazi regiem. and it was a very good thing, the US Soldiers did. from what these people protect us? I understand there are conflicts such as pirates from Samali attack ships and such. But that is the only place in the whole world now but military bases are everywhere. Weapons are everywhere, thanks to that we had such stupid conflicts as Iraq war and North Osetia conflict where some asswipe retard politicians wanted to show their strength. But in one conflict US used their weapons, in the other their weapons where used by someone else.
