@TheOnepang I know where Jonas is from but I'm saying instead of taking the Thai/Lao people music why not have your own and embrace that for others to see. No need to call me names! a lot of Hmong don't like it that the Hmong language has adapt Lao dialect when they should use their own and teach it to their kids the correct Hmong language.

Honestly i've always liked this group because of great coordination but this year they took the wrong way to impress the judges. Yes it's creative but be more creative with movements. Example hand movements matching with music and shake or feet movement should be on beat with music. I dislike how some were dancing and some did something else. To me its confusing. It's almost like i dont know what your trying to show. But this is just my opinion not a hate note. But still you guys are awesome!

If Minnesota dancers competed in CA, they'd win only if they blackmailed the whole entire organization to GVP. If they came to labor day in Oshkosh, they would lose by one spot cause no flipping/tumbling is allowed. If CA dancers came to WI, they might have a chance, but only a few groups from WI would stand a chance in CA. NCL went and the lost. USA/Asia are to aggressive for CA. Never go to MN cause they only allow their own ppl to go, that is MN residents.
PSh WISCONSIN people trys to acrobat and they try to chinese dance psh. Why not bring your chines dance to MINNESOTA. Why talk as if ya aint trying to dance like Minnesota. if you aint scare try our style and bring it. we're waiting.
Now, this is really how hmong dancing should be done. Fluid. Transition is great. Love how yall make the routine work with only 6 girls. I can tell the rountine is original, the transitions are very disntinct. Most of the Midwest groups have trouble with making the dance entertaining yet fluid without too much shaking. Hope I can make it to Cali New Year this year to see the hmong dancing there. Hope you girls compete this year 09-10 again. ^_^
Actually, this group is from Sacramento. There's two different groups with the same name. The Wisconsin's group is pretty good, but not as good as this one.

yes that is true. i think nsc was very creative in using the props they had.i do have to agree that nhyy have been dancing to the same beats since, but all their dances have been exceptional though, but i would like to see them do something different, try another type of beat. i dont get why so many people say that nsc use the same songs, when it isnt and this group dances to the same type of music but no one says anything, but i am still a great fan of nsc and nhyy. BOTH TEAMS ARE GREAT!

Even after all the many years that passed, i still think that Nkauj Hmoob Xeev Khuam's performance that won them 1st in fres was the best for this beat.
I'd love to see NHYY do something new. in fres's comp 07-08, Qaim Hli totally performed to a dance that i thought should've been something NHYY would've brought out and owned. I remember seeing Qaim Hli come out and stage w/ their outfits and thinking "damn.hella ironic, that's a slap to nhyy's face". Anywhoo. point is: something new. Take risks
dang, everybody dances to this song.. everynew year i go to, i always here the same song, yaj yuam and xas thoo dance to this song, and it gets boring hearing the same song over and over, and the THai version is better, since round 3 is freestyle, i was expecting to see alot MORE Chinese or India dancing, dancing hmong or thai again on freestyle round it gets boring, but the hmong and thai round are ok..
love this dance ladies. so creative. but what i've noticed about your dances were that 95% of your dances, the beginning is always everyone having their own thing to do. theres nothing bad about that but i would just like to point that out. some people may not like it that everyone goes different direction.looks kind of messy. but i love all the performances though. great choreography. high props to your choreographer. and outstanding job carrying your teachers imagination out.!
i think HINY needs to find judges w/more experience in this field instead of grabbing people from Lao Family board members throughout the state. It would be fair if we have experienced judges to judge these competitions...i.e., pageant, dancing, singing. If I had to choose the winners for this year it'd be Nkauj Hmoob Yaj Yuam (1st), Ntxhais Seev Ceev (2nd), Nkauj Hmoob XaasThoos (3rd). overall, great performances from NSC & NHYY. Thanks for sharing too! ;)

no, its the judge choice of style. well, we already know our 1st place winner. & yes they could have win,but this performance from them is very confusing. & of course inexperience judge who just got chose to be sitting in front to be judging dances, of course they will look at this dance and say "what's the coordination of this dance. & what is that one doing around,& 3 girls stopping at a random point" so thats tells that it is very confusing & difficult for judges to be judging this dance.

i agree what you said. they most of the dance they did, they were using the same beat. yes competing is for comparison with other group and what you are trying to say is to make them tough and work harder next time. if they change their beat, i'm sure they will win first place this year.

omg!! i love this group!! even though majority of the songs they danced to in the past couple years are very similar, i still enjoy it sooo much!! the beginning was awesome!! its not as complicated as what ppl think. just watch closely and you'll actually see how simple and unique it is!

Thier begining was fine. I understand why they did that and why it looks like everyone is doing thier own thing but they have a meaning why they are doing that too. It's nice. I like that dance.

Even after all the many years that passed, i still think that Nkauj Hmoob Xeev Khuam's performance that won them 1st in fres was the best for this beat.
I'd love to see NHYY do something new. in fres's comp 07-08, Qaim Hli totally performed to a dance that i thought should've been something NHYY would've brought out and owned. I remember seeing Qaim Hli come out and stage w/ their outfits and thinking "damn.hella ironic, that's a slap to nhyy's face". Anywhoo. point is: something new. Take risks

dang, everybody dances to this song.. everynew year i go to, i always here the same song, yaj yuam and xas thoo dance to this song, and it gets boring hearing the same song over and over, and the THai version is better, since round 3 is freestyle, i was expecting to see alot MORE Chinese or India dancing, dancing hmong or thai again on freestyle round it gets boring, but the hmong and thai round are ok..

love this dance ladies. so creative. but what i've noticed about your dances were that 95% of your dances, the beginning is always everyone having their own thing to do. theres nothing bad about that but i would just like to point that out. some people may not like it that everyone goes different direction.looks kind of messy. but i love all the performances though. great choreography. high props to your choreographer. and outstanding job carrying your teachers imagination out.!

i think HINY needs to find judges w/more experience in this field instead of grabbing people from Lao Family board members throughout the state. It would be fair if we have experienced judges to judge these competitions...i.e., pageant, dancing, singing. If I had to choose the winners for this year it'd be Nkauj Hmoob Yaj Yuam (1st), Ntxhais Seev Ceev (2nd), Nkauj Hmoob XaasThoos (3rd). overall, great performances from NSC & NHYY. Thanks for sharing too! ;)

no, its the judge choice of style. well, we already know our 1st place winner. & yes they could have win,but this performance from them is very confusing. & of course inexperience judge who just got chose to be sitting in front to be judging dances, of course they will look at this dance and say "what's the coordination of this dance. & what is that one doing around,& 3 girls stopping at a random point" so thats tells that it is very confusing & difficult for judges to be judging this dance.
