I've been watching my box set of Holmes, series 1 & 2, and I've found the oddest thing happening. I find myself clapping and laughing at the screen, so many times. I'm a 40 year old man but this is pure, childlike wonder, a sheer joy at Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, nearly 30 years after I saw it the first time. I'm mesmerised I suppose by this performance. The definitive Sherlock Holmes.

Jeremy sounds congested in this. At first I thought he had the sniffles and thought it ironic when he said he never had flu. But then I realized that that was the water in his lungs from his meds. He was starting to have trouble breathing even then. Poor Jeremy. :'(

you can clearly hear him wheezing when he breathes, the smoking is not doing him any good obviously. listening to that makes me sad, knowing how those awful cigarettes would speed up his death :(
