dont buy the 1990-1993 versions of the Q45, they have plastic brackets and tensionersin the timing chain that break and cause catastrophic engine failure. if you do buy one sure you either replace them, or get em checked
I had a '90 as my first car. Luckily it had the guides replaced by the previous owner. It accelerated with smooth long strides and made such beautiful music, I didn't even care that the stock Bose stereo didn't work!
Lol..., no way! I have a 1993 Q45 Inf. with a flowmaster with dual pipes, 18" performance wheels on it and, I still don't think, it does over 6 secs. from 0-60! They're very fast though. I'm guessing around 6.4 to 6.7.. I raced my cousin's '07 GMC Denali from a stand still and, he left me like 3 car lenths! I recovered my confidence in my car by beating a '99 Q45 Inf....in which, it's owner thought was badass! Lol.. ;-)
That actually was prior to me having a NICO ECU. I need to get another video because the car is a slug compared to how it is with the stage 3 NICO ECU.

On acceleration..., the Q. starts off in 2nd. gear...unless, you switch to 1st. gear, manually(low gear).

When I retire, collecting cars will be my thing and in my garage I'll have a 1990 Q45.
