Very good. Not easy to do since 'Maahnt' has two bassists playing separate lines.
(Listen carefully). You missed a couple of critical changes in a very hard line at the beginning, Work on trying to be more in sync with Jannik Top. Other than that, good job.
@SuperCartiel Thanks for the constructive advice ! As I said in the description, this song is still above my actual skills... Couldn't really take it in a relaxed, natural way, I was forced to be overly focused, kind of "forcing" my fingers above the velocity I can presently achieve while still feeling comfortable. Downside is that, of course, I couldn't be fully focused on the structure and my rhythm is somewhat approximative. I did several takes, none perfect, this was the best I could do...
@Hamtaahk It was very fine, Hamtaahk. Guys like Top are up there in the stratosphere (it's like me with Christian Vander. I will never be as good a drummer as he is because that guy is a demon of drumming >.<)
Practice and passion are the best ways to get as good as Top, Stanley Clarke and others. Keep at it, man. Listen to groups that have good bassists (Yes, Gentle Giant, Gong, etc.). Study their style, and practice like a beast. You'll get there.
@Aladin87000 Thanks for watching ! It's not that I didn't take pleasure doing this, it's just that at the moment my skill doesn't allow me to be perfectly comfortable and relaxed with this song. I may try to do a better cover of this in the future when I am more able :)
