Love, Love, Love this song!! I first heard this on the Acid Drops, Spacedust and Flying Saucers compilation. The scottish version of We the People, In the Past
you should try bestbuy.com to find this stuff on CD... I've found The 13th Floor Elevators, The Electric Prunes, and Strawberry Alarm Clock on their online catalog but I haven't looked up the Poets.
I mentioned wooden spoon cause it's the original and only official release that In your tower got i.e. at the B-side to Wooden Spoon on Decca which is the copy I own. The Poets never released any LP's hence why I am sceptical about the immediate LP. According to rockingscots website, the immediate LP is probably a bootleg and not actually an Immediate release so makes sense now.
Label is pink, says Immediate (not sure the one we used to know though!) and has the reference Z12 52008. Nothing around the label edge, nothing on the insert and nothing on the cover to help give you a contact. Very strange because that was the number for the Small Faces original Nut Gone Flake on Immediate (proper!). So a bit of a puzzle.
@PoisonedApathy The Poets have a CD out on Grapefruit label called"Wooden Spoon: The Singles Anthology 1964-1967". It has 12 tracks on it and is worth having.

Hume Paton died of a heart attack on Saturday 30th April 2011. A dear, kind soul taken from us too soon.

Never heard of this band. They sound like they've escaped fame and what could have been? Real class.

Wonderful stuff, hard, dreamy, mysterious, all in 2 and a half minutes.

There's a vinyl LP still available, think it was pulled together by some German company.

I dont think this will be on the intermediate LP as this was their last single on Decca, B-Side to Wooden Spoon
