  • i was always scared of the Hunt scene, i'd watch the Extinction scene to calm myself down afterwards :P

  • i use to always rent this movie when i was a kid :D

  • when the 3-D dinos came on i always remember shutting off my screen as a kid cause i got uber scared. o.o

  • This has better animation than any CG specials I've seen

  • Does anyone know a movie from which cut 4:30 - 7:20 part? pleeeeeease

  • @dinoman9007 That's from an older documentary from the 80s. It was narrated by Christopher Reeve.

  • @dinoman9007 It's this one: "Prehistoric Beasts" (c) 1984 Phil Tippett

  • Thank you. I remember this from when I was a kid!

  • 4:30 - 7:20 is a beautiful example of a highly underrated medium. Such incredible detail, smooth movement, and lightning that CGI can only dream of.

  • ok, and a triceratops would attack a predator, why?

  • @roboguy75 Plenty of non-predators are just as ornery as predators! Rhinos, hippos, bison, bulls.

  • @roboguy75 Many large herbivores, such as elephants, rhinoceri, and hippos, are extremely territorial. More Africans die from being attacked by hippos than any other animal.

  • This is amazing, thank you for sharing. Do you have more? I remember watching this as a child, but I can't remember if this was a series or a short film or what. I even remember the making of, I wonder if I'll ever see that again...

  • i have looked for this for ages, thanks v much!

  • fuck the bible.. im watching dinosaurs here if you dont mind. GTFO

  • wordprophet is not just a false prophet HE IS A JOKE! If archaeologists are having a hard time determining the exact time of some of the great bible events, how does he with his unlearned self can give a specific time? It is also amazing how many Protestant (traditional) Christians speak against the Catholic Church when most of their beliefs and practices are rooted in the Catholic faith. wordprophet needs to read properly and know the bible WAS NOT written in isolation.

  • @wordprophet Its amazing flat earth morons like you are still around. Gonna put Bob Baker under house arrest like Galileo? Even the Vatican agrees that dinosaurs exist and that the Earth is much older than they thought. They do NOT consider it counter to scripture. The Bible does NOT say how old Earth is. The number passed for years was just an exercise in adding up the ages of biblical figures, not an accurate, Bible-recorded figure. Get over it. The Church has.

  • Neighbor, you are a bit confused. I don't know who Bob Baker is, but it was not Christians who persecuted Galileo, it was the Papacy. I do not believe the earth to be flat. That would be ridiculous. The Bible declares clearly that Adam was created in about 4,000 B.C. I can show you how to add it up if you are having difficulty. Please also know that the Catholic church is not Christian, and does not represent Christian truth. The Bible is the truth. If you only knew...

  • @wordprophet That is the point. People like you said the Bible said the world was flat, 'infering' from what was actually in the Bible something that was NOT there, then it proved wrong. The same w/ the age of the Earth. If you only actually read it rather than just passing on quotes. The 4000BC figure was 'figured' by 2 men in the 1650s. The date is NOT in the Bible. You lose all your credibility when someone like me has read more of the bible than you. Oh, Bob Baker is a famous paleontologist.

  • That is a very slow meteor, I kid, This is very good

  • some meteors are like this

  • i think after the T rex ate an animal that it wouldnt eat anymore. it might of been a scavenger too so whateves

  • Yup, ALL predators are scavengers when they get a chance for safe free meal! Just some more than others. A lion will scavenge but is primarily a predator. A hyena is the other way around. I think, unlike Jack Horner, that T-Rex was primarily a predator, since a scavenger wouldn't need its bite strength. That's needed for killing in battle.

  • dinosaurs killed rhynkosaurus

  • The dinosaurs were Herrarasaurus. I heard that in the show this animation first came from. They didn't say what the big lizard that scared them off was though.

  • @moatguy If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say a phytosaur.

  • No phytosaurs were crocodiles. This doesn't look like one as the shape of it is not like a crocodile and there's no armour on it's back.

  • @moatguy It is a Saurosuchus. The South American Cousin of Postosuchus

  • Aww! They've cut out pieces! The T. rex vs. Triceratops in the animation sequence didn't show when the momma bit the trike a few times over after it moved!

  • ja is klar

  • Do anybody have the documentry that starts at 4:45?...the claymation one..I remember watching that on TV when I was a kid.

  • lmao then again at 3:30 one of the t-rexs falls down

  • 320 is hilarious, those baby t-rexs sound weird as hell

  • Why do you ask?

  • im not asking anything...i made a statement...what are you talking about?

  • That fight between the Centrosaurus and T-Rex was scary! :O

  • That albertosaur is downright scary :P

  • You left out one bit on the last movie.

  • it is true that crocs, birds and dinos all belong to the same group but birds split off from the thecodont group along with crocs just before dinosaurs evolved

  • Are you confusing 'thecodont' & 'theropod'? Thecodonts are considered either predocessors of dinos/crocs/pterasaurs or any 'other' archosaurs BESIDES them. (my spelling stinks) Though there IS some theory that birds go back that far.

But Theropods (raptors, etc) share so many skeletal characteristics with birds, current theory points again towards birds emerging from early dinos here. Not dinos, but emerged from. From Thecodonts would require too much parallel evolution.

  • yeah i know the difference and I know what i was talking about and i know the reptiles that evolved from birds came from thecodnts which evolved into dinos and crocs

  • "reptiles that evolved _from_ birds"? 'into' instead, right?

Then I just disagree. The similarities w/crocs & birds just don't seem to be there compared to dinos & birds. Are there any bird fossils dating back before dinos that would prove they existed before dinos, so they couldn't have come from them? Not that I know of, but maybe there's new ones. Gotta watch the word 'true' w/this stuff.

  • Theropod dinosaurs shared over 120 anatomical similarities with birds. According to phylogenetic systematics (cladistics), all 'birds' actually are classed as dinosaurs, with all other dinosaurs simply being called 'non-avian'. Maybe what's being referred to here by pkt1tripe is the Upper Triassic fossil Protoavis, but this fossil is too disputed (and too incomplete) to definitively be called a bird. It was more likely an unusual theropod. Creatively210 and MissingPieces4U know their stuff!

  • Thanks, but for full disclosure, I must admit that MissingPieces4U & I are one and the same! MissingPieces4U is my ID related to my business work, fixing people's computers and doing multimedia work, such as videos, via my site, Missing-Pieces com.

Creatively210 is for my creative stuff not related to my business, so I don't get my business account bounced! ;-) My Banyt ID is for my stuff already 'Ban'ned once from 'Y'ou'T'ube (=Banyt! ;-) that is still too good not to post! :-D Thanks again!

  • Aha! So that explain it, and thanks for the info, MissingPieces4U. Proof positive that great minds think alike - especially when they're the same mind!

  • actually they made a chicken grow teeths that were alike much of an alligator... there's video of it check the: "dinosaur evolution to birds"

  • "yeah i know the difference and I know what i was talking about and i know the reptiles that evolved from birds came from thecodnts which evolved into dinos and crocs"

    Protoavis has been debunked.

  • thank you!!! I love these!

  • i have 5:00 on video
