I bought a '66 impala, hardtop 4 door. Impalas look pretty much the same from about '66 to '68. Mine has a 350 and it sounds like a BEAST. Check ebay motors. There's a ton of them, the only hard things to find are the impalas that don't have bars between the front doors and the backseat doors. Awesome cars though, I totally recommend one. Even if you can't buy one, still try to find someone that will let you drive theirs. It's an experience no one should miss.

I must say I was HeartBroken when they totaled The Impala at the end of last session. I was even more heartbroken when that dude in the second session opener suggested they scape it.

It was great to see Dean's second love back.

You can bet your bottom dollar in reality they did indeed scrap the car which was in the collision. It was so severe that the frame of the car would have been bent beyond repair. The television and film industry is well connected to companys that specialize in supplying cars for them...they just sourced another car as close to the original as they could, or the car in the crash was a substitute. Personally, I think it is irresponsible to wreck cars that are that old for entertainment.

Normally, in these types of shows, due to budget restraints, they won't total actual mint-condition cars. They'll go to the junk yard, find a beat up piece of crap, just fix it up enough to make it look good, and then total it. It's a lot cheaper, especially for a show like S/N where they don't have the biggest budget.
