I loved Angel so much more than Buffy because after about 4 seasons of watching Buffy, I got sick of the whole High School girl thing... I mean, even in the last season she was still complaining about not having a social life like a regular person. Angel moved beyond this and gave the concept a more adult feeling. Although I really don't know what Joss Whedon was thinking with that whole deal with Cordelia... I mean REALLY??

Angel is the best tv series I've ever watched my entire life and The Sanctuary is the best theme song I've ever heard! Gosh, how I wish they never stopped the show. I bought Angel : After the fall comics, not the same as watching the show but at least I know what happened to the team after that fight! Wish I could meet a noble guy who is willing to sacrifice everything for everyone sake except himself like Angel someday. Angel's character is the greatest character ever created!

@girlsare4life LA was sent to hell, Angel became human, Wesley's a ghost, Gunn was turned into a vamp, he fought Angel and then killed connor. Illyria became a huge monster and try to destroy the world. Angel tried to fight Gunn with his human strength and almost died. But at the end, the team were brought back to time when they were in the alley, Angel managed to save Gunn from being a vampire, Connor's alive & every thing were back to normal. You should read the comic for yourself,it's awesome

@MissGoldennRose There's more after that. ATF is, if I'm right ,the first 4 volumes. Then I think their is 5 more ending and "The Wolf, The Ram and The Hart" story. ThenAngel goes into Buffy S8. And a "Spike" mini-series to bridge the gap. Upcoming is Buffy S9 and an "Angel & Faith" series. I think that's right, but I may have some of it wrong in terms of order. Plus their is mini-series like "Illyria-Haunted" "Angel-Only Human" and "Spike: The Devil You Know" that were published.

Season 1 of Buffy I laughed my ass off through most of it due to the pure corniness.. Episode 1 of Angel I was just like "OMFG Angel > Buffy".. Seriously, the guy kills three vamps within the first 5 minutes and Buffy the fracking vampire SLAYER gets like 4 kills tops by the end of her first episode

But I still watched it cause there were good episodes when Angel left. Even when they added Spike in Buffy it was still good. So I'm not bad mouthing Buffy. Just character wise and some of the storyline I like Angel more.

Angel is probably the first spin off i've seen that is a 1000 times better than the show it came from, it had more charm, more action, way more darker and grittier in tone and everyone who came from buffy magically got better when they came on to Angel's show, especially Spike, they need to hurry up and bring back the series or just make an Angel movie

one of the best episodes, also an early one, is "I Will Remember You".

So sad and heartbreaking. It reinforced for me that there can never be anyone else for Angel than Buffy, and no one else for Buffy than Angel.

I'd say season 4 is the weakest.

Season 5's "Shells" absolutely made me cry. I won't ruin anything, but it's excellent.

@jblo92 Season 8 Buffy comics have put a possible end to the "Buffy and Angel are meant to be" together angle. It gives a possibler reason for why they were drawn together, and gives a reason why they could also never be together, something that can't be reversed or magically healed.
