  • Yes...I believe that is Abraham Laboriel.... this is on a DVD set of PBS tv shows hosted by Ramsey Lewis...some great performances ...

  • So good. Just named my newborn son Oscar 'cause this guys so cool. Does anyone have a tab of what Oscar's playing here?

  • I don't understand why five people disliked this video

  • no! its way too fast for me! I dont like this version. it simply don't do justoce with the original , sorry. and the English..well, don't get me started.

I really love the hebrew version- you need to check it out:

והגשם יבוא- גידי גוב ומיקה קרני

    simply copy and enjoy :-)

  • @Queeney I have just checked the Hebrew version and it is not a version they tried to copy the original. Take care

  • @MrJVictor88 yep, it is a version in hebrew! and quite good, one that leaves you to think about the original piece. but this so called english version, is way too fast, un-emotional, just gibrish! it was a brave attempt to fool around, nothing more.

  • @Queenesy I was referring to the link you posted which is basically a try to play the original piece. Of course they could not copy the feeling of the first recording. I will look for a link in the youtube and send to you. Take care s

  • Desde sempre, grande rhythm guitar, impecável.

    Linda homenagem ao Maestro !

  • In portuguese is much better!

  • @SergioRosaUSA Sure!...

  • Maybe I finally got it...at the end of summer, in March...from me to you..."the joy's in YOUR heart".

  • I saw this live 2 days go... OMG it was amazing

  • Absolutely YUMMY! Pure, unbridled, "in the pocket" joy!!

  • fanfreakintastic,5 stars, but I wish I knew what 'in the distance rode three shadows of blue ' refers to. Anybody ?

  • amazing

  • Wow.

  • Is that Abraham Laboriel playing bass?

  • I don't know. I'm very happy to see that this wonderful performance has pleased so many people.

  • Perhaps, But I belive that yes.

  • @blesdpersn Yes, that is Abe Laboriel playing bass. A very nice man and a tremendous bass player.

  • @blesdpersn yes, no doubt, from both his tone and to look at him too it is Abe.

  • @blesdpersn yes, it definitely is Abraham Laboriel.

  • @blesdpersn yes.. :)

  • @blesdpersn Yes he is

  • Tom Jobim´s most sophisticated song.....with such an amazing structure that only Antonio Carlos Brasileiro De Almeida Jobim could have written it.

  • i like it better in portuguese

  • I like it better in ingles.

  • @TrujishoC not that it's any comment on your preference, but as a sidenote: Jobim did write it originally in English, which was quite an extraordinary thing for a Brazilian composer to do at that time.

  • Outstanding - the joy that filled my heart on hearing this!

  • Sou mais a minha =)

    Traducao ficou feia...

    I didn't like.

  • If you love guitar, Brazilian music, hearing a master musician/composer, don't miss Oscar if he plays anywhere near you

  • My all time favorite version of Aguas de Marco - I love the way he lets the guitar and his voice just drive the song. Other then Ellis Regina's version, I think it was Jobim's favorite version of his song. I don't know if you can think of an authentic version of any song, but somehow this version just fits with the song.

  • Hell yes.

  • Amazing!!

  • grande oscar... sei un mito..
