  • can the whel for the mechanism bee built in hardwood?? is birch hard enogh??

  • @hudik96 , it might work, its worth a try.

  • @WeaponCollector thanks for the reply

  • @hudik96 I tried once with birch, worked for a while but then it cracked and i had to glue it.it depends on how much pressure the prod puts on it. I think its worth trying though if you cant find anything better.

  • hail to the king!!!!!!!!

  • BRILHANTE

  • супер видео! мечтаю иметь арбалет!

  • слишком много текста меньше болтай

  • Could you tell me what you used to make the prod?

  • @TheRagefan44 ,I made it from hand saw blades, click on the link in the more info section and theres a entry showing how to make a prod.

  • @WeaponCollector you sir are a genius ! this is so fun to watch !

  • could i use two pieces of 24 mm wood instead of 4 12mm pieces thanks!

  • hay what do u use for the bow part like spring steel but how do u get that big of peaces and how do u put them together so they work

  • please next time keep the camera still, just aim at your work or something.

  • Little spring under that string holding part might work well for resetting it. But you'd need something else to causue it to flick down. Way you've done it's props best mate.

  • The project looks like its coming along nicely. Very interesting video, I've never seen a homemade crossbow before.

  • @hugo2x , thanks mate, this is actually my fifth home made crossbow , and fourth i've put on youtube.

    glad you liked it.

    Mike.

  • @WeaponCollector how work the spring i dont understand

  • i made mine all out of wood trigger etc everything but string. and i made my spring for the trigger from a clothes peg spring. its pretty cool.

  • @Eddythebandkid ,nice one mate, sounds great, i will be making a virtually all wood version soon.

    Mike.

  • Dude, no need to file edges on prod smooth, not to cut the string..but try to wrap around with something rubber, like bike tyre or something..I think it'd be best way to..because if you file down smooth, it's still metal,

    Jakey.

  • @JakeysWeapons , good idea jakey, i have now come up with a few ideas on ways to finish the ends.

maybe either rubber like you siad or maybe two rings on the end, or something similar

i'll repley to your message you sent soon.

    Mike,

  • Nice job!

  • @gowersponger , cheers mate, glad you like it, i'll be doing some more work on it on friday.

  • lovin it m8, been waitin for this one for ageis. will u mabye to a camo spray job at the end?

  • @Jack70903 , glad you've been enjoying it mate, i was thinking of doing it black with polished metal parts, but a camo paint job could be awesome too, if i have the paints to do a camo finish i will, if not i'll do it on the next one.

    Thanks for watching mate

  • @WeaponCollector yer black was my first thoughs as well, i like the metal parts your putting on this one as well, looks well sharp. will u be making more then? or a bigger xbow in the future?

  • @Jack70903 , definetily gonna do more, the next two will be pistols, and then maybe another full size rifle one like the i did before and also a smaller version of the wrist crossbow.

  • @WeaponCollector shite ive not seen the full sized one yet ima look for that now. also wondering about wat you use for the actualy bow? i assume its not more aluminum?

  • @Jack70903 , yeah have a look mate, its called - Making a homemade crossbow - i think, lol. the prod is made from saw blades cut in to the shape of a prod.

  • looks amazing already

  • @TheAirscots , cheers mate, glad you like it.

  • @WeaponCollector will it be polished when its done? also, do u live in the UK?

  • @TheAirscots , it will be polished , and i am living i the u.k.
