Reform and Remake are a little drastic for a system that is working. Currently 91% of US citizens have insurance and 85% are satisfied. Let's reduce costs by making the administration more efficient and fine tune other areas that are wasting money (lawsuits...).
There are currently 22 million citizens that make over $50K and do not have insurance (9 M of those make over $75K). 9 M citizens qualify for other programs, but just haven't signed up and 12-14 M are not even US citizens/taxpayers.

Reform and Remake are a little drastic for a system that is working. Currently 91% of US citizens have insurance and 85% are satisfied. Let's reduce costs by making the administration more efficient and fine tune other areas that are wasting money (lawsuits...).
There are currently 22 million citizens that make over $50K and do not have insurance (9 M of those make over $75K). 9 M citizens qualify for other programs, but just haven't signed up and 12-14 M are not even US citizens/taxpayers.

Pretty sweet industry Health Insurance. You can refuse to insure people who have an existing health condition. You can refuse to pay for treatments for your clients based on some minor omission on their application from 20 years ago that they once used an acne medication. Or just for the hell of it because it is unlikely they can afford to sue you.
