Both films ruin the entire canon of the alien franchise. How the hell did the predators even obtain the Aliens? They are supposed to be a space jockey bio weapon, not the predators' playthings.
@Billywask Space jockies as a very ancient race and might have "created/used" xenomorphs. But all these ideas predate the avp crossover-concept. Alteration had to be made to give the avp franchise some sense. I do understand what you mean though...

I actually liked these movies. The effects are decent for most of the Xenomorph scenes, it just seems bad because of the high standards the first movies in the series had. Of course, alien had the creep, and aliens had the feeling of comfort in numbers then have your ass kicked by only 6 xenos. Predators always made you feel being hunted, and no where is safe. The kid was paralyzed, not knowing what happened. Wolf kicked real ass, and the Predalien queen, had new tricks that made her awesome.
if they ever do make a third movie in the AVP franchise, they should actually get an experienced director, and good actors. and a WAY better storyline, where not everyone has to die in the end lol. And next time I'd hope to see more Predators. OR it'll be super awesome if they have a battle where it's like 3 Super Predators vs. 3 Predaliens or an army of Aliens.

if u see the 2004 movie, they send just 3 because theoretically a predator is an aliens master. in the 2004 film they explain that, also they show just like 5 predators defeating a million aliens
In the first avp, they sent the 3 predators in order to fight and if they won they were granted their "rite of passage". Since aliens were the ultimate prey for them to hunt, they knew it was a challenge.
And I would say that predators are more of the humans' master since they're the ones who taught them to build and what not.

The movie was crap. AVP was better by a long shot, and that's saying something. The movie was way too dark (couldn't see anything at all), the characters were cardboard (again, AVP was better, and that's saying something). The Predalien was cool, but we could never really see him other than that one shot from the Predator's point of view that they seemed to use over and over. As for the Predator, he looked awesome in the beginning, but the final fight was a buzzkill.
Predator 2 sucked. The Predator looked like a duck with that mask on. It was like Roger Murtaugh meets the Duck-Billed Predapus. It had some cool effects, don't get me wrong, but it sucked.
As for AVP, yeah, the first 2 Predators were mighty sad. The third kicked some pretty good ass, though. This guy "Wolf" was cool, although we never really got to relate to him after they first introduced him. Still, he couldn't even kill that Predalien without dying first. Scar took on the Queen.

The alien was able to kill the predators with ease at the beginning because it was a "Predalien" (alien-predator hybrid), they are stronger then either a normal alien or predator.
That ship had more than a hundred Predators in it; including the Elder. One Predalien can not do that much damage without even a scratch to show for it.
Shay's there were only 2-3 predators on that ship. What the hell are you talking about?? It even shows it. The Elder was not in that ship, it was a transport ship that broke off of the big one. Yes, obviously one predalien can take 2-3 unprepared predators in a tight space.
Did you not see how many Predators were gathered in the distance when the Elder showed up? There were dozens, if not hundreds. Having only 2 or 3 per ship? Yeah right.
Your a dumbass, the ship which the predalien was on when it killed that small predator crew was not the same ship which was shown at the end of the first film.

It'd be weird to not bring him to the ship parked closest to him. Are you saying that all the other Predators seen were from the other ships, but the one we saw just had 2 or 3? That makes no sense.
It was a transport ship which had broken off of the mother ship. It makes perfect sense. The ship even crashes to earth and it shows the size of it. Remember, a father and son had stumbled unto it.
It split off? Why can I not remember that.....? That would make sense, that ship that crashed seemed too small. Still why would they send it back to earth, instead of the vacuum of space? These guys live by never being seen or discovered, and sending that ship into the farthest reaches of space would have done them a lot better tahn just sending it back to earth...oh well. Thanks for the clear-up.
They were already in space by the time the thing even came out. Give it another 15 minutes to shed, and they'd have been in orbit. The ship would not have been pulled back to earth unless they sent it back. It would have just floated out there like a broken satellite.
If you do not like it then write a letter to the writer of the film.
They were in orbit above the Earth [as shown at the end of the first film and the beginning of the second] when the predalien was birthed and caused the transport ship to crash.

You're both wrong. In the AVP film he is Charles Bishop Wayland -founder and owner of the Wayland industries. The Wayland-Yutani Corporation is in fact came to being with the merge of two separate industries.
In Alien 2 and Alien 3 we only see an android replica of him. Although at the end of Alien 3 the Bishop who came with the bio-marines states that he is the original human he quite obviously lies: -one of the residents hit him and the demage at his ear shows us that he is an android too.
The Bishop looking guy at the end of Alien 3 is human his name is Michael Bishop, which means somewhere along the line his families second name got changed from Weyland to bishop. Also Weyland Yutani works on lots of different fields of science not just robotics.
I know where you're coming from, obv every ones a critic but i think you try too hard to pick out the deficiencies. I completely agree with what you're saying about it being rushed i think that as well, but both avp films the first one mainly again was meant to up the anti only in avp display the true extent of the aliens nature. I think they destroyed the facehugger designed in this, although rushed this ones gud but AVP was better. they were all good to be fair apart frm Resurrection.

As for AVP, yeah, the first 2 Predators were mighty sad. The third kicked some pretty good ass, though. This guy "Wolf" was cool, although we never really got to relate to him after they first introduced him. Still, he couldn't even kill that Predalien without dying first. Scar took on the Queen.

What are you talking about? Predator 2 had a far better plot & storyline than AVP 2. Both of the AVP movies sucked in my opinion. I was disappointed with both of them. Alien, Alien 2, Predator, Predator 2, those movies rocked!!!

@DJBrokenHigh Predator 2 really didn't to me. I mean, I loved the premise; let loose a Predator in the Concrete Jungle. That's a cool idea. But I mean come on! The Predator died in his own ship with his own weapon against a human who probably couldn't give him a bloody nose! I mean, when Arnie faced it one on one; he got his ASS KICKED. And he was still buff at that time. Danny Glover? No dude, I just can't.

I love the part in which these guys are inthe gun store, and the sheriff says "OK, I just need some light" The whole fucking movie needs some light, what did they do, dip the entire movie in BLACK? you can't see a fucking thing in this movie! What a waste! I guess they went real cheap on the special effeccts and thought that they would hide it.

The alien was able to kill the predators with ease at the beginning because it was a "Predalien" (alien-predator hybrid), they are stronger then either a normal alien or predator.

That ship had more than a hundred Predators in it; including the Elder. One Predalien can not do that much damage without even a scratch to show for it.

Shay's there were only 2-3 predators on that ship. What the hell are you talking about?? It even shows it. The Elder was not in that ship, it was a transport ship that broke off of the big one. Yes, obviously one predalien can take 2-3 unprepared predators in a tight space.

Why wasn't it? Are you saying it changed ships after it was born? Besides, why wouldn't they have been taking him to the ship in the center foreground? It'd be weird to not bring him to the ship parked closest to him. Are you saying that all the other Predators seen were from the other ships, but the one we saw just had 2 or 3? That makes no sense.

It was a transport ship which had broken off of the mother ship. It makes perfect sense. The ship even crashes to earth and it shows the size of it. Remember, a father and son had stumbled unto it.

It split off? Why can I not remember that.....? That would make sense, that ship that crashed seemed too small. Still why would they send it back to earth, instead of the vacuum of space? These guys live by never being seen or discovered, and sending that ship into the farthest reaches of space would have done them a lot better tahn just sending it back to earth...oh well. They didnt "send it back to earth". It was in orbit above earth when the predalien was birthed and caused the ship to crash.

They were already in space by the time the thing even came out. Give it another 15 minutes to shed, and they'd have been in orbit. The ship would not have been pulled back to earth unless they sent it back. It would have just floated out there like a broken satellite.

You're both wrong. In the AVP film he is Charles Bishop Wayland -founder and owner of the Wayland industries. The Wayland-Yutani Corporation is in fact came to being with the merge of two separate industries.
In Alien 2 and Alien 3 we only see an android replica of him. Although at the end of Alien 3 the Bishop who came with the bio-marines states that he is the original human he quite obviously lies: -one of the residents hit him and the demage at his ear shows us that he is an android too.

The Bishop looking guy at the end of Alien 3 is human his name is Michael Bishop, which means somewhere along the line his families second name got changed from Weyland to bishop. Also Weyland Yutani works on lots of different fields of science not just robotics.

I know where you're coming from, obv every ones a critic but i think you try too hard to pick out the deficiencies. I completely agree with what you're saying about it being rushed i think that as well, but both avp films the first one mainly again was meant to up the anti only in avp display the true extent of the aliens nature. I think they destroyed the facehugger designed in this, although rushed this ones gud but AVP was better. they were all good to be fair apart frm Resurrection.
