Chilling music, indeed. I just had a thought crossing my mind:
I'm living as a single in my apartment in a 145-unit hi-riser, probably 200+ people living in this building.......and now, during the song right now at 4 am, they'd all suddenly dissapear, leaving me all by myself in the building, which is now an empty ghost house....eeeeeww, spooky!
Steve music is fantastic ----reminiscent at times of some of Vangelis or Raison D Etres finest works ---he is a master of the ambient genre . Great stuff
if anyone likes this music do yourself a favour and listen to Symphony of Sorrowfull Songs by Gorecki...a modern classical choral piece....it will peel your skin off!!!!! and toss into purgatory...ENJOY.

the title is not by St John of The Cross, but by an English woman mystic/nun from about the same time.....her name ....Julian of Norwich...check Wikipedia.....nice music anyway
@IsraeliXdude ...the original title comes from an ancient Christian, mystical work by St. John of the Cross, from around the 9th century AD or so. A well-known classic work of the life of faith.
The first few minutes of the song are great to hear when you walk along the beach at night time. As you are walking & observing, you suddenly feel as though the world around you is mysterious; that you tread upon the shores of an alien landscape. When you glance over the dark waters you wonder what strange things are occurring beyond the barely-visible horizon; beyond the limits your perception.
Such a beautifully haunting song. I especially love the sounds that start roughly around 6:00 and start picking up around 7:00 again. It's a little harder to hear on youtube because of the compressed audio, but you can hear it rather clearly around 8:17. These sounds almost remind me of a spooky alien creature calling out to someone or something. Very chilling.
It is better when the primate is silent.
