  • I am vegan and I love chocolate... You save my life!!!! :D

  • looks delicious! great recipe :D

  • She is Cute ; )

  • Can you add cornstarch to thicken the sauce instead of clear gel? Or will that change the flavor?

  • @RenaeFlowers You could totally substitute cornstarch for Instant Clearjel. Just make sure to whisk it into a little water first before whisking it into the hot chocolate mixture. I don't know exactly how much cornstarch you would want to substitute though. Maybe a tablespoon or two?

  • is there an alternative to the corn syrup?

  • @yesterdaysgarden Yes, you can totally leave it out. What that little bit of corn syrup does is give the sauce an almost chewy, fudge like texture. It also keeps the sugar from crystallizing, but you should be fine to leave it out.

  • @everydaydish Would brown rice syrup work?

  • @lotusvideos0 I think it would work, or you could just omit it altogether and it should be just fine.

  • I just make a sugar syrup with equal amounts of , vegan, caster sugar and water. Then gradually whisk in cocoa powder until thick. Correct taste with more sugar if it's too bitter.

  • @Ry4n i was about to post the same recipe. sugar + water + cocoa... this video recipe with it's clear gels and corn syrup is unnecessarily complicated

  • Theres no measurements on how much to add of each substance?

  • @LolAtYurMom The recipe is on our website everydaydish(dot)tv

  • Such pretty hair!

  • @spinniespin Thanks!

  • Could soy milk be used instead of water? To make like a vegan milk chocolate?

  • @Hammotastic I haven't tried it with soymilk, but it should work fine.

  • watching this didnt do me much good.. she didnt say how much to use of each thing...:S

  • @sniggihyeslek Every stinkin' video there are like a hundred of these comments. For all of everydaydish's videos, they put the recipes on their website online. Info in the box. Go there to get the measurements. And everyone else that will inevitably ask this same question:

    GO TO THE WEBSITE.

  • Regular corn syrup that you use at home is not the same as high-fructose corn syrup. It's still not great for you, but it's mostly glucose suspended in water, so it's no worse than table sugar. And it really is vital to prevent sugar from forming crystals.

  • sorry but you lost me at corn syrup

  • @faylinameir You can leave out the corn syrup if you would prefer.

  • wait how much do we put in do you have a website

  • @happypappyization yep go to everydaydish . tv

  • I think its deceptive how you say its guilt free. Its loaded with sugar, and Corn syrup (fructose) sugar activates fat making if you are not burning it off. so It is just as bad if you are obese. if your healthy enjoy, I just wanted to reiterate this

I love choclate, I just started buying pure cacao and making my choclate that way, its amazing making your own sweets. + u know whats in them

  • @seinfeld11123 "if you are not burning it off" being the operative part of that sentence. You want food which doesn't require you to exercise? So you can sit on your ass and not get fat? Good luck with that one!

  • @seinfeld11123 cacao itself is not healthy to the body. for healthier body you should leave it out or consume it rarely. carob powder is a great alternative. and this video shows another vegan junk food :) she said "guilt free", what? its healthier to eat macdonalds.

  • @amirprog cold pressed cacao is actually very healthy, amazing anti oxidants, and like .12g of carbohydrates per teaspoon. its just when u add cups of sugar to make syrups ect. thats why I add stevia to mine

  • @seinfeld11123 well, i read, watch, and tend to believe what raw food health pros like dr teloren, paul nison, and others saying about it that it dosent matter if the cacao is cold pressed organic or whatever - cacao is toxic to the body, the good things in it are minor and dosent justify consuming it. just google it. i consume it rarely as of now.
