There are more right handed people....meaning more entries into the lottery for whatever prize (old age, getting on a basketball team, etc etc)...so on average, they are "luckier" which is really not luck at all.

that means the right handed winners would be proportionate to the right-handed entries... just like the left handed winners and entries. they would only be luckier is the ratio was higher for left handed winners to left handed participants than for their right handed counterparts

haruga, let's say you flip a coin 3 times and it is heads each time. does that mean the probability of heads is 100%? of course not. my point is that there are enough righties to establish a real statistic...but there are not enough lefties to do so.

having too few lefties could result in inflation as well as deflation in the ratio between winners/losers... This really isn't the case with lefties though, since there is enough that the sample case isn't really all that inaccurate

lukeluke...let's say you take 99 right handed people, and exactly 1 left handed person. One of these people will live to be one hundred years old. Obviously, it is more likely that a right handed person will live to be 100, because there are 99 of them versus just one lefty. The same probablities hold on a world wide scale.

haha is this guy stupid? i am left handed as well and if you even bothered looking up information about left handers you would realise that 1 in 10 people are left handed, which is a small amount. so when you are sad about there being around 50 left handed players out of 450 players that is actually quite good.

My dad was left handed. My two sons are left handed. Have you ever read studies about left handed people? Jimi Hendrix was left handed and he was one of the greatest guitar players that ever lived. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and many others were totally amazed at how he could play a guitar. Jimi Hendrix had to play the guitar upside down because all guitars were made for right handed people. Left handed people use the right side of their brain the most.This sometimes give them an advantage.
