In the summer of '79 I went along to see this band called the Police who were starting to get some airplay and I saw the name 'The Cramps' in the support band slot and thought okay, they might be a local outfit or something. Well, the Police were good, you know, I could see that they were going to be stars, but for me and others the Cramps attitude, performance and sound just overwhelmed us, It was stunning, great rock n roll as authentic as any and just brilliant art altogether..

Saw them at the Ritz in NYC they opened with this song it was AWESOME! Also loved how Morrissey after playing live on Jimmy Kimmel Show at the end of his song gave a shout to LUX INTERIOR a day after his passing. My 2 Favorites didn't even know they where friends! LUX AND MOZ FOREVER!!!

I enjoyed that... but it was tough, I spent a few summers in northern New Hampshire, that was odd... luckily I lived just outside of Chicago 3 grade till I was in my early 20s. It's the middle of the country, so we got the good stuff from most everywhere.
