I was at this show. Sadly, the last at the now defunct Melody Fair. Irregardless of what others are saying about the vocals, and lack lustre performance... this show kicked ass if you were there! The bouncers were overzealous louts and kicked peoples asses all night (just for dancing in the aisles) but the show was unforgettable. The energy was so palpable you could cut it with a knife. We certainly missed Bun E because of his surgery recuperation (back surgery) but Dak kicked serious ass!
not the greatest vocally and i think they need to rethink the drums at the begining but over night to bad way better then there preformance in montreaux.

Thanx for the info. I have a friend who looks like Bun E and oddly enough he has had a few back surgeries. Now that you mention it, I have never seen them in the room at the same time. Could it be possible that .....naw.
According to my ticket stub, this was Sat Aug 11 2001 at the Majestic Theater, North Tonawanda, NY. It's just north of Buffalo; definitely not Niagara Falls. Usually, shows there were in the round with a revolving stage. For this show, they just used half the house.

That's Rick's son Daxx on drums. He took over for Bun E., who was recovering from back surgery.
