people kill me with liking the remakes of something-just like a lot of people say that about Dolly Parton's song "I Will Always Love You" remade by Whitney Houston-Although, you love the remake can't you respect where the original was came from?!
I have got to disagree completely. I just listened to both Roberta Flack's and the Fugee's versions of this song back to back. There is obviously a mountain of digital "production" involved in recording Lauryn Hill's voice in the Fugee's version. I don't think Lauryn sounds better than Roberta at all. I find Roberta more genuine, more analog, and just plain better.
Oh yeah!! it reminds me of my past. I love to hear this song and i love to see it most in a real video of Roberta Flack like this. Many thanks for sharing and posting nkaiken.
GOD!!!!!! This is my favorite song! I was listened for the first time when I was 7 years old, and now, that I'm 41, ALWAYS makes me remember my childness!!!
merely suggesting that there are certain songs which should remain the way there were originally. eg satisfaction from the rolling stones hope you understand.
When she sang this song, she was in her 20's. You should hear her sing it now, it's amazing. She know for a powerful voice, but she's also know for her tone. The Fugee's did a great job as well.
this isnt that old compared to fucking who its about which is about Don McLean with his song American Pie who most people believe it's about Buddy Holly who died in an airplane crash
come on man, you know dag on well the fugees didn't blow it. If anything I'd say lauryn hill's voice is a little more soulful. I respect the architect by i don't think she's better.
Es una bella cancion y la interpretacion que hace esa mujer es terriblemente hermosa .... Es unica... i liked oh yeah
