One cannot deny that there is a certain level of memorization in shmups. One cannot deny this. But it not just memorization: It is a combination of skill, memorization, and accuracy. it presents a challenge and leaves it up to the player as to what the challenge is. Is it just finishing the game? Is it to achieve a high score? The end goal is up to the player. let us not forget that todays publishers have the option to have gameplay change.

That "other" game you were thinking of was Gunbird, which was localised in the West as Mobile Gun Force. Great vid! John's a top player.

Cool video Shikigami 3 on the 360 is very average, the second one on the DC is the only one i like.
