Finally, the FCC investigation is complete. So many people are stuck on stupid with the democrat vs republican ideologies. The FCC needed to be investigated and held accountable for the mess that has been allowed to happen. And it's good that the legislative branch whether democrat or republican majority is finally going to correct the mistake they made with voting the telecom act of 1996 into law. MEDIA IS TERRIBLE TODAY..

this seams strange to me why worry if people have t.v. or not you mean the government is concerned if I watch house tonite or not I think there is some bigger picture to this that we don't know about yet. Our government is changing more and more lets just hope they are making moral choses..

Is this digital transition REALLY necessary? I don't see what all the rush is for. Let networks go digital if they want, and let the others STAY analog! Is that so hard, damn gov't? I mean, why is the gov't of all people telling us to go digital? Seems a little forced. Couldn't they at least have asked the citizens of this nation if they wanted all tv digital?

PROBABLY a huge improvement over what is usually broadcast, which couldn't be more destructive.

Maybe children will actually leave the house once in a while.

People will get much more information, more efficiently, from a good newspaper, public radio, and spending their tv time with -real- friends instead of "friends on tv".
