  • heiser states that the bible contains presumptuous statements (the gut feeling argument) the question then is how to separate the presumptions of the writers of the bible and the actual word of god. This is tricky and one then needs a objective means of discernment eg science!!

  • @bitcoinsrule

And for science not being able the disprove the bible: So what, there is an infinity of undisprovable possibility out there. It doenst make the bible true or science irrelevant. A disprovable theory is scientific, an undisprovable theory is not, period.

  • @bitcoinsrule Heiser's point isn't that science is irrelevant , nor is he making scientific statements . Instead its about the science and the Bible coming into each others turfs when that have nothing to do with one another . The bible isn't science it's theology , why some people would want disprove God through science is beyond me . Science isn't theology , and why someone would want to disprove science through theology is also beyond me .

  • @bitcoinsrule Check out Heiser's lecture called Old Testament Cosmology .

  • @bitcoinsrule It's not that the bible contains presumptions but rather people do through certain interpretations or traditions . I don't splice the bible as being a certain percent divine and another percent human . Its both , 100% divine and 100% human . Its about theological messaging to certain people in a certain time .
