  • This is NOT Jimi Hendrix. The song is "You Are Too Much For The Human Heart" watch?v=DfZky0PNqbY

Herman is still playing it live. watch?v=n5Rp-35ow7E

Somehow this got on a CD and was wrongly credited. Hendrix never sounded like this even when covering others' songs. It could be another blues player covering Herman, but not Jimi.

  • I'm not feeling like this is really Hendrix. Sounds like some other blues player.

  • am i crazy, or is the chord progression in this song somewhat similar to "Let It Be"?

  • Who's the artist!?

  • yea it's definetly not jimi

  • @40nuggetfilms Yep, it's not Jimi. Some forums online discuss this & somehow this random song was stuck on a CD. It's Herman Hitson's watch?v=DfZky0PNqbY

Someone thinks it could be Clapton or some other blues player, but it's not Jimi nor is this the title of the song. The video person should fix it.

  • is this even jimi? cause im pretty sure it isn't, which would make you a liar

  • This is not Jimi Hendri!

  • fuck...is so manny beautyful things in the world and we live on the run...stay , listen and die happy

  • @gigisolidu rite on! i can appreciate that

  • this was on a album w/ curtis knight, circa 66-67, before the experiance he sign a shit load contracts and had too make good on most...

  • @volkaar for neautrallity. for ever liek jimi gets 1000 shitty jewtube vids die

  • Not Jimi.

  • why is it so short? D;

  • People who thumbs up the top comments now have to thumbs up both, because I may just have an OCD attack if they aren't equal to each other. >:(

  • all this commotion about it not being jimi yet i still havent seen a single person that knows who this song is by, and what its called, great tune though

  • @volkaar there are evil people.

  • This ain't Jimmy Hendrix, you moron!!

  • Rest in peace, Jim. Your music will never die!

  • is it just me or does it sound like he is doing an improv on let it be?

  • @6leafdom id say it falls somewhere along the lines of free bird and let it be, idk maybe its just me regardless heavenly guitar playing <3

  • youtube.com/watch?v=eYhufO_eTyU

  • this sounds like a powered up carlos santana jam

    in my opinion

  • Asians pressing dis-i-like again -_-

  • @kemcyPeace Dis-I-Rike** lmao

  • its a cover

  • @fucktheheros who cares?

  • @deathfromabove123 your fucking mom buddy

  • @fucktheheros good one. let me know when you grow up (Y)

  • not joking.... how that actual FUCK could you dislike this!?

  • This doesn't sound like Jimi's style at all. But it is some sweet ass guitar playing, for sure.

  • @CAL7A not Jimi's style at all???? then how come this track can be found on at least 2 of his " best of " albums??

  • i'd love to learn this.. i just don't know where to get any tabs for it :(

  • Not Jimi...

  • Jimi Hendrix is the love of my life. When I find a man who amazes me more than Jimi does, I will truly be in love. Until then, the only man for me is Jimi. He was amazing, and his name and music will live on forever.

  • @cookiecutter5 exactly my thoughts...

  • this is on the cosmic turnaround cd i was never sure if it was hendrix or just another ripoff to make some money like a bunch others, but something about this just never felt right when i played it after a known hendrix song.

  • It's fucking amazing !

  • No this is not Jimi but It's damn good anyway. I just wish people who post on Youtube would post correctly. Whoever this is playing guitar or whatever band this is....they deserve the credit. Period.

  • Some guys are haters.. they press dislike if someone plays better an instrument and also they do on bad music. Elsewise I cant explain the dislikes.

  • i want to learn this

  • Fools

  • this is just... so beauifull. It's like the guitar is begging his love to 'let him go' while he's hurting and doesn't really want to but its for the best. If that makes sense

  • Good music.....not sure who it is but the music sounds good.

  • this is not jimi 100%

  • @TheGami78 this is him..; i have bought an original live cd and this song wasn it

  • @shortwatchtower i hope this is jimi. it is such a amazing piece of guitar playing

  • @benny20105 i am a hundred procent shure it is him. :)

  • Absolutely beautiful song!

  • @volkaar 9 person thik that it's the download button XD

  • Oh Jimi how you warm our hearts this New Year's Eve of 2012 coming. We will be dancing with you tonight. You will always be in our hearts; such a Master you are on the guitar. TO all Happy New Year what-ever time you will be celebrating this.:-))

  • Thanks for posting this song!

  • THIS SONG IS FKING GOOD,THAT'S IT

  • This is a really powerful song

  • tHIS IS HENDRIX in 1964-65

  • Who's music is this actually if its not jimi hendrix's? Does anybody know?:)

  • This is NOT hendrix

  • @volkaar people actualy meant dis-i-like :)

  • people want to hear jimi so much that they put someone elses song as if he did it, talking about some bad case of placebo

  • Why do people post stuff and pretend that its Hendrix like we won't notice the difference? Come on peeps, lets show some respect up in here firstly to Jimi and secondly to each other as music lovers.

  • @MegaDiva1999 it saddens me that you are the one turly disrespecting JImi when you say this cant be him.

  • @joshintotheblue It's not him and it's truly disrespectful that people are perpetuating misinformation about him recording this song. The uploader should take down this video or at least change the video to reflect the real artists you created this. Even a casual Hendrix fan can clearly hear that this is not him. This is Hermon Hitson's song "You are too much for the human heart" and it was released on a bootleg by some shady record company who tried to shamefully profit off of Hendrix's name.

  • Nice amateur guitar playing. But not Hendrix style..!

  • i honestly dont care who wrote it. im just here to enjoy the music

  • Not Jimi - but still a good vibe - does sound more Clapton then Jimi - take it from someone who has everything related to Hendrix.

  • It's Hendrix, yes...playing You Are Too Much For The Human Heart (instrumental) from Hermon Hitson...

  • this is hendrix not clapton

  • sounds beautiful, remembers me to ray carles, I'm not sure if it's him but what I know is that jimi loved blues and jazz so he probably tried to create some classic of the blues.

  • It is Hendrix! Its from the CD with the same name!

  • genialne

  • Hmm i can't think who else it would be apart from hendrix, but i understand what people are saying, there is something different there. Regardless who it is, it is defiantly full of soul, and i find myself chilling out to it a lot :)

  • jeh,beautiful but not hendrix...

  • Is it Hendrix? Tis boi alright

  • <333333333333333333333

  • HENDRIX 100%

  • @ahyeaman Definitely is Hendrix. Just listen to the timing towards the high notes. Very cool...

  • Theres a record with him and Morrison that famous fuck her in the ass ..tomorrow never knows

  • @verbw002 listening to it again I enjoyed it a little more it could very well be Hendrix.

  • Yup guys this is Jimi....just listen to his Freedom & You . This is early Jimi Hendrix!

  • @sonrisingpk tought that there is a version, that he sings it with morrison

  • PEACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • SOUNDS JUST LIKE LET IT BE BY THE BEATLES....JUST SAYIN....I LOVE MY UNCLE ANYWAY!!

  • i can feel the passion that is in this song, amazing

  • Comment removed

  • funny you sat that, 'physco' didnt sound like hendrix at all, besides the beginning.. but this isnt hendrix, its kinda sloppy and mild for hendrix.

  • @ahyeaman it's definitely Hendrix bro, just listen to the style. It might be a little mellower than usual, but I'm a Rock N' Roll player and still occasionally like to play something a little slower and more emotive.

  • this is hendrix for sure !!!!!

  • Clapton Jimi and stevie ray all played together early in their careers and influenced eachother they remained close friends till ray and jimi died.

  • @pkelleher14 Stevie Ray Vaughan was 15 when Hendrix died and washing dishes in Texas

  • Very early Hendrix!!! Before he went to England!

  • Sounds like Jimi especially at 0.46

  • Comment removed

  • Could be Clapton, could be Hendrix.

  • its let it be

  • Comment removed

  • HELLO PEOPLE ! THIS IS VERY MUCH SO HENDRIX !

  • @madambuttahfly please explain how we could be so 100% sure?

  • I really dont care who it is, this is fucking beautiful!

  • Hendrix was a blues musician, he claims that on so many occasions, now i know just because your a blues musician it doesn't mean you made a specific blues. But i wouldn't say that this isn't Jimi, and saying that Jimi had one playstyle, is being naive, there is a reason why Jimi is #1 sorry to say but Jimi himself told about his vast amount of influences from various blue musicians, and this fits a great blues song.

  • @MrHandtricks yes, he could, but I simple cant find any connection of this kind of playing with Hendrix. of course, I cant be sure, but it would be surprise for me

  • It's definitely not Jimi, but it is still great.

  • @HumanResauce ok i gotta admit, the first time i ever heard "louisville" i thought to myself "this isn't hendrix... is it?" only recently i heard hitson's song, then i found out that hendrix worked with hitson. however none of the original tracks recorded of hendrix were ever released. a lot of people notice the lead is slow and it's mostly in Db major... well-- y'all ever heard of "may this be love"...?! still can't say for sure, but at least "louisville" is worthy and more hendrix tone.

  • Do not let me go

  • herman histon -"you are too much for the human heart"- guitar version

  • @pnoplyr14 *Lee Moses

  • @pnoplyr14 there is a lot of speculation on this. it sucks to think that if hendrix were still alive at the time of this (and "louisville") release, we'd know. there'd never be a possible case of somebody recording a song, putting it on an album, and claiming it was hendrix. it just wouldn't happen. "Louisville" very well could be moses, who definitely borrowed from hendrix too. but the tone and spasmy style on this particular lead especially makes me think it's neither.

  • @turtlesoup7 I found it on some Hendrix compilation CD. However, a friend of mine, whom I consider an expert, due to his career as a musician, tells me it's Clapton.

  • @snakeweirdo that's a good point; i definitely think it sounds way more like clapton than hendrix. however i think clapton would claim it as his own if that were the case... so i'm not sure i can say i'd call that a definite truth either... somebody should check with clapton himself. not meaning to sound sarcastic-- i mean that in all seriousness.

  • 3 non mi piace sono di santana

  • i guess we let you go altough we wanted you to stay, and this song makes me cry :'(

  • Comment removed

  • if its not authetic jimi.. then the same suggestions apply... jimi was true blues.

  • the true key to happyness is music..someone stold jimis keyy. robbed him... and killed him...he lives on always.

  • its jimis soul depressed. hes letting his emotions out....

  • Jimi`s photo look like che ge wara

  • Hendrix? I dont think so

  • @duksila umm no. this IS Hendrix dude .

  • @duksila its been stated that jimi is not on this recording thats a different technique borrowed from his but not quiet the real thing

  • @duksila yes, it is jimi hendrix...

  • @duksila its from the album "Blues 1994" of Hendrix

  • @duksila

yes it most certainly is my friend, do your research

  • @ThePoswiata It's hilarious and ironic that you're telling anyone to "do your research" when you clearly haven't done any yourself. Anyone who is even a casual fan of Jimi Hendrix can clearly hear that this recording has absolutely nothing to with him at all. This is Hermon Hitson's "You are too much for the human heart" and people should stop leaving comments if they have no clue what they're talking about.

  • liberachi

  • so sweet

  • I just wish this would play louder!!!!

  • Hmm... Note placement is off, no Hendrix signatures, and no heart and soul.

  • his depressed soul was deeply saddend... just feel it.

  • * * * * *

thank's Mr Jimi Hendrix, Great Song !

  • this song sounds NOTHING like the rolling stones song named "Let Me Go," as the description tags imply. the backing track IS from a Hendrix song, known as "Louisville," an unreleased that later came out on the cosmic turnaround album in 1981. however it sounds as though someone is trying to play the lead on their own. The backing track IS real and from the original song, just pitched down a half step. i don't know where you/ they got the backing track, but it is incredibly clean.

  • heaven

  • @sco8d it does sound very similar

  • This isn't Jimi Hendrix. sounds like it's played on a hollow bodied guitar,

  • @hididdlyho82 that doesnt neccesarily mean t isnt jimi

  • @tehbossasian It doesn't sound anything like him though does it I not saying it's bad but it isn't Jimi Hendrix

  • @hididdlyho82 it is, it's him at his really early years.

my dad told me that and I can assure you he's always right about jimi!

  • @TuVasCrever sounds more like buddy guy

  • ..sweet..

  • eargasm.

  • @sco8d have been listening to both for over 20 years and still do not hear the connection...go see the doctor before it's too late!

  • La perfection musicale a un nom : Jimi .

  • this is like the soundtrack of his death...

its such a bittersweet song. Its like i die a bit when i listen to it, but its just so fucking good i cant stop.

  • You are correct of Lynyrd Skynyrd but its also similar to Rolling Stones: The girl with the far away eyes.... what do u think ?

  • i guess we let you go jimmi, but we didnt want you to leave

  • First time i heared it nearly broke my heart. Put it on repeat, wallow and cry a bit. Sooo beautifull

  • this song ends too soon :(

  • always wondered what kind of solo jimi would play on a lullaby. Got it for sure, unique and natural as they come

  • Jimi was a one and only. He was the first innovator of the guitar, using the wah-wah pedal, and the fuzz box. the other stuff you may have been hearing isunreleased stuff. His family in Seattle is doing his music the way Jimi would have wanted it. I am 47 I grew up on his music. The problem with the music today there is no soul in it.

  • @robertmcunningham the music has died! its all about image, money and top 40 charts!

  • sounds nice but no way this is hendrix. just not his fingerprint. too repetitive doesn't go anywhere

  • sorry im pretty sure this isn't hendrix. It doesn't sound like his tone and he's pretty much playing the same thing over and over which isn't his style. He was very innovative, he used triplets and hammer ons, and tons of different techniques. This sounds too plain

  • @Longsleeeves This is Jimi Hendrix for sure i know as i have a black box album this was written by Mick Jagger and Kieth Richards of The Rolling Stones and Jimi put his own edge on it

  • @Longsleeeves too plain? you obviously don't play the guitar.

  • blues, at the highest level.

  • I'll never let you go R.I.P. Jimmy you're the best. I'll carry your music in my heart forever.

  • Can't help but say, reminds of a Southen Rock Band, who maybe borrowed a riff or two, back in the day. . . .L.S.

  • @Diogenes1360 Wait, I know! Gee sounds like Lynyrd Skynyrd! Yeah, thats it!

  • it says me :relax

  • It´s Hendrix, but it doesn´t sound like a Strat, every now and again we would use I think some gibson model? maybe an SG, I think that´s what gives it a different sound

  • i need the tab plz .... i can play guitar

  • @shadowflair17 youre not a guitarist if you dont even try to figure it out without a tab. try

  • if it was recorded b4 71 has to be hendrix who else coulda?

  • if it was recorded b4 71 has to be hendrix who else coulda?

  • This doesn't sound like Hendrix.

  • Oh this is some soul music right here man. :]

Jimi was the man, hands down.

  • @krylon2009 Little Wing? ;D

  • @iattackgodzilla I like this a little better than Little Wing. :D

  • This is Jimi, it is from a collection set of his early shit before he even went to London. Thats why it may not sound too familiar, its early Jimi.

  • @Momasmeat i don't believe you. show me some proof. The vibrato in this song doesn't match his style at all! Listen to his "blues" album then listen to this, its not him.

  • First of all this is not Jimi hendrix, 2nd it souds like "Let it Be" of The Beatles :)

    3rd its very nice :)

  • @ikum3 "let it be," which was released march 6 1970, uses the same chord progression as "bold as love" by jimi hendrix, released december 1 1967. the song u are hearing here is apparently someone else's guitar track on a jimi hendrix song called "Louisville," which was previously unreleased-- apparently inspired by hermon hitson's "you are too much for the human heart"-- recorded in 1965. hendrix worked with hitson in atlanta, but his guitar tracks were never released on any hitson song.
