Aussie actress Judy Davis did a great portrayal in 2001, she's now 54 yrs old, but at 5' 5" she is closer in stature to tiny 4' 11 1/2" Ms. Garland.

Anne's facial features work well but she is 5' 8" & does Ms. Hathaway have the talent to really pull it off? A fair part of the success of the project will be out of Hathaway's hands & will depend on the quality other people's work in the production, screenplay, direction, etc.  I wish Anne well in this endeavor & hope the film is well done.

theater and movie actress.

@helenajesstarzak ANNE IS S TALENTED NO? LET'S WAIT AND SEE HOW SHE DOES! APPARENTLY SHE hasbeen selected by the people who know. Let's just see!  But this picture is only the talking stage still. It is postpond until 2012. Anne is not even sure she will be singing. So, a lot of unanswered questions and a lot of decisions that will be made before it goes into production. What is wrong with Anne anyway? She is not a singer per se but I have heard her, Who else for the role do you think?
