First of all if you say its sped up you should watch the movement of the cymbals, notice they dont look "choppy" or sped up, you cant have part of the video in real time and the rest sped up. Also I dont believe he looks choppy, I think he looks meticulous. Its called precision, he's using the least amount of body movement possible to actually be that fast. Besides he's a Balfour, he'd never speed that shit up!

If it was. you would have seen his head and body gestures SPEED up aswell. which did not happen Mrs.Studivent you should actually study and not just say you did. I put the video into a copy file and imported it to a program that shows all editing that was done the video to allow you to undo or redo editing. and program shows the video was edited but as far as speed enhancing. NOTHIN WAS DONE 2 THE VID ITSELF

I don't think the point was about the speed... I've heard faster drummers either way. It's not impossible or anything but more about the way his body moves around the kit, it looks kinda robotic... but yeh definitely not sped up. The cymbals prove that by sustaining at a natural speed/flow
You must admit that his body moves weirdly... but I actually don't think you tampered with it because if you look at the cymbals that he hits, the rocking of them back and forth after the hits looks completely natural in line with gravity. Nicely done either way. V Impressed!

IF it was sped up the big thing that would give it away would be seeing how the cycmbals rock back and forth on the stand. No matter how hard or fast you hit a cymbal is has a natural flow to the way it sustains.

@mrdrumman100 the drummer is maybe very good in real life, but in this video even an unmusical man can see that the real framerate of the vid is changing sometimes. I comment this because it is unfair to the professionals towards. I am by far not a professional and I dont wont to be one ... if it is admitted that there is a film trick, then everything is ok and completely acceptable (sorry for my bad english but I hope you understand)

@MrsStudivent I agree that it looks sped up. I'm not saying that his playing is, because yes, it's completely possible that he plays that fast, many people can. But I don't know if it's the way it was filmed or not, but the way he is moving certainly makes it look sped up.

Umm that obviously isn't sped up, the reason why it looks "choppy" is cuz he's moving soo fast that his actions violent bursts of energy and his body is moving rigidly instead of smoothly...think about it. SOULTONES ROCK!!!!!!!!

If it was. you would have seen his head and body gestures SPEED up aswell. which did not happen Mrs.Studivent you should actually study and not just say you did. I put the video into a copy file and imported it to a program that shows all editing that was done the video to allow you to undo or redo editing. and program shows the video was edited but as far as speed enhancing. @MrsStudivent I must confirm that this video is not in real motion speed...I have verified it with the cymbals sound and with the light reflect on the cymbals. It has been speeded up for sure!!!!

The video and audio are sped up to make it seem faster. This guy is quick, but not as quick as he seems. Watch the cymbals when he's doing his fast rolls and paradiddle stuff. No one moves the weird with out being sped up.
@zgames88 Believe it or not, this video does not have any manipulation of any kind. What you see is Punky plays the drums. He is that fast. When you speed up video the audio won't match, if you speed the audio as well, it will sound faster and not real.

Umm that obviously isn't sped up, the reason why it looks "choppy" is cuz he's moving soo fast that his actions violent bursts of energy and his body is moving rigidly instead of smoothly...think about it. SOULTONES ROCK!!!!!!!!

@mrdrumman100 yeah, it is on youtube. and you wont see some of these real quick jerky movements in no other vid except this one. like i said, he's probably faster than i will ever be, but SERIOUSLY, level with me, you can't some of these jerky, twitching movements that just seem unnatural. i bet when you saw him in person he wasn't jerking and twitching like he is in this video!

I took video production class for a year and counting Its NOT SPED UP. If it was. you would have seen his head and body gestures SPEED up aswell. which did not happen Mrs.Studivent you should actually study and not just say you did. I put the video into a copy file and imported it to a program that shows all editing that was done the video to allow you to undo or redo editing. and program shows the video was edited but as far as speed enhancing. NOTHIN WAS DONE 2 THE VID ITSELF

YOU KNOW WHAT, I STUDIED THIS VIDEO AND HAVE SEEN MANY OF HIS VIDEOS. HE IS VERY FAST BUT ANY BODY CAN SEE THAT THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN OBVIOUSLY SPED UP. @MrsStudivent I must confirm that this video is not in real motion speed...I have verified it with the cymbals sound and with the light reflect on the cymbals. It has been speeded up for sure!!!!

The video and audio are sped up to make it seem faster. This guy is quick, but not as quick as he seems. Watch the cymbals when he's doing his fast rolls and paradiddle stuff. No one moves the weird with out being sped up.

@zgames88 Believe it or not, this video does not have any manipulation of any kind. What you see is Punky plays the drums. He is that fast. When you speed up video the audio won't match, if you speed the audio as well, it will sound faster and not real.
