this looks to be a demo of a new COOP function to keep the 2 players close together, as in other sonic games Sonic runs away and if you are playing as tails, then you get lost and have to wait to re-appear, this is a demo of how they were going to have 2 player coop I am sure.

The original Sonic 4 (renamed "Sonic Crackers".) They should've finished and released this game a few years ago. Yes, I mean in the "new Sonic" era when I say "a few years ago." That would've shut the old school Sonic babies up, and they wouldn't have even had to make the new "Sonic 4."

I mean, it looks cool and all, but it also just looks like a Sonic 1 update/remake. I hope it's not and it's actually better than that, and more in-depth than the 'Sonic Advance' games.

This is probably a leaked lost level from one of the Genesis Sonic games, or is a homebrewer's level.

The music is straight from Knuckles Chaotix 32X, but modified slightly (as if one channel of sound is missing). And in fact, the two of them are tethered together just like in Knuckles Chaotix. This just looks like a mod of the 32X game.

from what we know this was posted up at the time as a sonic 4 prototype, however the date was posted as april fools day, thus making it invalid, then some people wanted this gameplay engine to be developed (two characters binded together) and thus, knuckles chaotix was born out of a little april fools joke.

this game was never released and is only available through emulation. a game similar to this that was actually released is called Knuckles Chaotix
