This film is an extraordinary jewel. It deserves the highest commendations for every aspect of production, action, cultural and moral content. Special mention should be made for the subtle representations of fighting styles and techniques across the board. Most of all, the presentation of sword fighting types. It is no small feat for daggers to me full length swords and poles! Thank you for presenting it. Well Done.
The girl who plays the lead Character in this film..What's her name? Wasn't she in some of the up2 date Kung Fu films with Jet Li and Chow Yun Fat?? I can't remember which films but I'm sure she's the same actress only a bit older obviously..lol..She has very good Kung Fu in her films..Do all these actors have Kung Fu skills b4 acting or is it just something they learn as they go in films?

Her name is Cheng Pei-Pei. I am not sure whether she played with jet li, or not. But She played with Chow Yun Fat in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). She had been training ballet for 6 years before she become a wuxia actress. So she was quite flexible for martial arts movies, and she could easily perform kung fu choreography.

Some of them have dance or other sports skills, so they can easily perform kung fu choreography, such as; Wang Yu (swimmer), Cheng Pei-Pei (ballet), Michelle Yeoh (dancer)... etc.
