  • just place a bid and than retract it.

  • nice

  • good info man!

  • Or... you can just ask the seller. That usually works and is helpfull if this is a one time sale item

  • all very well and good if the seller happens to be an online store. if its some guy emptying his garage then the reserve can fluctuate. lets not forget that he might be a greedy a*sh*le

  • Oldest trick in the book...Tracking previous finalized transactions is an a ebay 101 technic that sellers are picking up on and reacting to by making the finalized auctions private once resolved. Essentially all that is left is positive feedback.

  • Why do you need to know the reserve? If you set a max bid and loose cos it's less than the reserve then you've not paid more than you want and the seller has lost a sale. If you set a max bid more than the reserve, normal bidding ensues! You'll win for what you want to pay or you'll loose cos it went over. Simples

  • it would help to know the reserve if you are adamant on buying the item but want to pay the lowest possible amount (which would be the reserve price).

  • or if that fails just email the seller and ask.... ive never had anyone say they wont tell me...!!

  • but they might lie and say a higher price than the reserve.

  • But that only works for people that have sold similar items... what if they have a product that hasn't been sold before...

  • Nice tip, thanks man.
