I love this...another favorite....BUT...I liked these kids better than the last version they made up with Nicole Eggart or whatever her name is....Scott Baio was better as a Dork than with his stone wash jeans and Buddy wasn't as dumb as they made him in the other family....somethings are not meant to be change...but still awesome, these kids were great!

Funny the character of Buddy from Charles in Charge went in the same direction as Eric Matthews from Boy Meets World. They went from cool guys to complete morons. LOL

Ahhhh back when Tv shows lasted for many years that the cast would change... they dont make them like this anymore! BTW, Totally forgot about April Lerman... super crush! I remember watching the episode when they changed familes and thinking to myself "HOLY CRAP THIS IS MIND BLOWING" I even remember the very last episode when both familes came out on a stage and waved goodbye.. This is what TV should be... NOT THIS CURRENT REALITY CRAP that we have nowadays!

The first thing that I would like to point out is that bashing reality shows seems to be a very common hobby all over You Tube! Most amusing! I would now like to remark on what you said about having a major crush. Mine was always Julie Kinisky from "Gimme a Break!"! I always thought that Lauri Hendler was hot! You might remember that series being that it was, very much from the same generation as this one.

@ColorsBright i rembmer doing research they almost cancel charles in charge in 1985 season 2 or 3 come back on tv 1987 so 2 years gone by since we last see charles in charge they had time to change a few ideas make it more 80's with a new family it all end in 1990

@cathode1990 I know of her playing the female college student in the 1984 movie, "Ghostbusters". She was also in the tv special, "A Very Brady Christmas" as the grown up Cindy Brady. Jennifer Runyon was playing Cindy because Susan Olsen was away on her honeymoon at the time they were filming.

story lines i can't rembmer the eps its called emtiyvillie with the new family i think she come back in season 3 (in 1988 or 89) for a few eps

The show was cancelled in after thw first season and then brought back 2 years later and they could not track down the people from the first season

When the show ended its run on CBS, and entered first-run syndication in 1987, the story explained that the Pembrokes sub-leased their house and moved to Seattle, and the Powells moved in instead, thereby allowing Charles to live downstairs yet again
