  • Hey vanbytherivernator, I am going to do the exact same thing. I have a few questions for you before we start:

-Which side did you place the screen on? Garage door or other wall?

-How did you secure your garage door before building the wall in front of it?

-What did you use to cover up the window?

-How much would you say this set you back minus the A/V equipment? Building materials??

-Lastly, how much previous construction experience do you have?

    Thanks, Matt

  • What would Batman do? Toss out his Tumbler for an old-timey popcorn machine and Jabba the Hutt sofas, I think not. It's a nice job but I am a garage purist. A stable for my horse!

  • very good job my friend...!!!!!!

    (saint - Greece)

  • Needs movie chairs dude

  • what size is the screen?

  • nice job!!! is your video screen homemade?

  • looks awesome! truly inspiring! home mine turns out something like this

  • where do you park now

  • Cost?

  • how much were the seats and where did u get em?

  • This guys car must hate him!

  • wow .......

  • Nice Job! Looks great and I bet it didnt cost you tens of thousands!

  • Nice job, seeing garages are very narrow to only hold single car depending on the width that is. Thing is people would hear because there is only dry wall and the garage door. Maybe in future brick it up! Also from external outdoors sounds!

So when one goes for the kitchen cupboard they find spaghetti wiring dangling inside LOL that’s a neat idea.

  • Horrible music. Ruined the video.

  • Yes we are going to convert ours Too, Would You Recomend any speakers?

  • the picture on the screen at 3:58 is that from, meet the robinsons?

    nice theater!

  • very nice

  • excelente amigo,very god

  • woooo ur hometheater is amazing from a garage to a incredible hometheater , how big is ur scree?

  • that is amazing

  • Very impressive, indeed.

  • HOLY CRAP my garage is almost identical lol

  • Very inspiring video. I am going to convert our single car garage to a theater as well. What are the dimensions of your theater? My garage is 14x24 with a 9 foot ceiling height. Will these dimensions work?

  • @Pablissimo2001 Yes, that will work, My dimensions are 11.5 x 18. I just helped a friend build one with the same deminsions as you and it turned out great! With that extra length, you can add a third row of seats or like my friend did, he put a bar with bar stools behind the last row and a little computer area too. I can send pics if youd like.

  • @Pablissimo2001 This was the best thing weve done to our house, it has changed alot since this video with decor etc. Every super bowl, every UFC fight, every big event takes place in this room. I highly recommend it!

  • nice ow much did that all cost?

  • im wondering about the projector. is the bulb life gonna be ok, i know replacements are expensive. or since the price of LCD and plasma has dropped big time would a person be better off going that route

  • i want a setup like that. i dont have a garage but i do have an unfinnished basement. my biggest problem is i keep doing stupid stuff that takes all my money like divorce, speeding tickets, wrecking my motorcycle, breaking my arm, and the list goes on...

  • super chingon

  • Weezer sucks

  • awesome dude!

  • nice work. how long did it take you?

  • Wowzerz! Awesome Movie Room...You guys must have good jobs, lmao...

  • your home theater is very nice

  • lol at 2:55 (song XD)

  • wow dude i never seen something professional like that before u r ammmmmazzzzzzziiiiiiinnnnngggggggg

  • i mean that it may be hot which can shorten the life time of the devices.

however, i love your home theater. I want to build a similar one because my space is also at this size.

  • I keep the back side open whenever it is in use, I also hooked up an attic fan that blows air into the theater room and sucks out of the laundry room behind the electronics. It is a tight fit but they keep cooler than my other electronics in the other room that are on a shelf. I will probably eventually install some small fans in the cabinet itself. I need to post some pics of the things we have added since, ie movie posters, candy shelf, mini fridge, etc. Build one!, You will love it!

  • hey buddy, is it okay when your devices put inside a closing closet ?

  • How much did you spend? I like to do something similar in my house but I wonder how much to invest to save and invest enough in my home theater, more than anything in equipment. Greetings.

  • wow pretty nice work dude

  • great setup i m excited to watch this kind of home theater experience

  • Awesome came out grate!

  • fogive me for sayin this but you know what would have been nice: where your garage door was, if you had made a recess there and built in some glass shelves and have fitted low volt led up lighters or something, great job. wish i had one like that.

  • nice but your suffocating your electronics in that cabinet

  • best setup ever seen, congratulations

  • Now your car will rot outside or get vandalized. Nice set-up though!

  • Good job I like it......

  • Great setup!

  • 2:40 Genius!

  • 2:59 Priceless !!!

  • i dont like the furniture. get some black leather couches! lol

  • Amazing setup man, simply a job well done, I feel like building one now :) i only suggest some acoustic treatment so you can enjoy the sound even more!!!

  • dude thats crazy u would never realize that that was a garage and the stereo equipment in the cubard thats brilliant nice job

  • how far

    from feet is your projector

    away from your wall

  • i have this 40dollar speakers there are 6 in total the sound isn't very good

what do you recommend me to buy.

i need a new crystal sound

  • it depends what your budget is.

how much are you willing to spend?

  • i dont know . i got everything except my projector and i wanna know how big my screen will be away from 14 feet.

  • Infocus IN1 is about $200 if you are on a budget, you can get it from newegg of pcrush.

  • 14 feet should get you around a 106-110". Mine's about 13 ft. from the screen and I have a 106" screen

  • very cool!

  • This is amazing, scratch that, its inspiring :D

  • Very Nice Job!!

  • very clean cabling too - great job

  • what were the dimensions of the room?

  • 18 x 12

  • The room is fine BUT,you are missing what makes a great Home theater.Equipment.

  • What kind of Equipment are you refering to?

  • The room and Video are great. What makes a GREAT Home Theater is audio.85% of my Home Theater is audio.

  • Yeah, I went with some lower end speakers being pushed by a great receiver. What do you recommend as an upgrade?

  • klipsh speakers are pricey but great

  • Klipsch is the way to go...have it in my home theater...mind-blowing sound. Biggest mistake people make is buying Bose because it's an easily recognizable name.

  • I went for B&W and never looked back.

  • I THINK THAT YOU ARE A COMPLETE DUMBASS AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. Your just putting your negative 2 cents in and acting like you know what your talking about because you have nothing like this in your home and probably never will. GET A LIFE AND STOP PUTTIN OTHERS DOWN.

  • te envidio pero algun dia tendre uno o mejor!!!

  • How do you keep you xbox, dvd player, ect. from overheating in that cabinet?

  • I leave the cabinet open when they are on and I hooked up a fan system in my vents that blow air into the theater room and suck through the exhaust fan in my laundry room behind the electronics. Probably doesnt work as good as it sounds but they actually keep pretty cool.

  • is it sound proof? if it is how did you sound proof it?

  • I put double drywall with "green glue" sound proofing glue in between the two drywall sheets. i also put in acoustic cieling tiles. Its not completely soundproof, which would probably be impossible, but you can only hear it when the bass hits in the rest of the house. I wouldnt do it any other way!

  • cool,thanx

my bro might soundproof a closet for when he records a song

  • what about ur car?

  • Its in my 2 car garage. Seperate form this single one. (Stupid design)

  • looks great but doesnt it get cold in the winter

  • Im in Arizona, what does cold mean? The pics dont show it but I put in an AC/Heater vent.

  • oh that explains it, arizona is comparable to a furnace man, I live in Ohio and in the winter my garage is freezing day and night

  • Very very nice! How loud is the epson? i was looking to buy one in the next year to upgrade my 720p but a seller told me it was distracting in smaller rooms.

  • I checked out other projectors and the Epson was the quietest. As long as you keep the filter clean, it will stay that way. I honestly dont ever hear it.

  • how much were the expenses?

  • man you video rocks

  • Ok, so u finished, I don't like it! I don't like it!I don't like it! I don't like the fact it's not in my HOUSE! lol! WOW GREAT JOB U and ur little ones enjoy Beautiful room! Winter wont be the same! :) Thanx for sharing! BTW what size screen R U working W/? PS eat lots of popcorn 4 me :)

  • Its a Severtson Corp 120" in light gray. Room dimensions are 18.5 x 12

  • great work

  • Excellent job....when are you coming to my house?! :D

  • THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!

  • this is the craziest thing ever to the MAX!! you no what i mean what i say. LOL
