I have watched this match several times and I really have to say that I have got the impression that the famous French umpire Jacques Dorfmann was one of McEnroe's biggest fans. Once during the match Lendl asked him if he was "afraid" of McEnroe. After Dorfmann denied that he urged him on to not "do anything in favour for him then, okay"?!
