Thank you for this wonderful tribute to Rodrigo but I feel you (just like Rodrigo)don't give Yepes due recognition. Can you explain why Sainz de la Maza only played the concerto twice? Or why the concerto was not performed from 1940 to 1947? Rodrigo's fame and awards started after Narciso Yepes began playing the concerto around the world. Before then, Rodrigo was hardly known and the Concerto de Aranjuez was asleeep in Rodrigo's house.
this was made to the master Joaquin Rodrigo, and also Pepe Romero, explain why about everything , why Rodrigo wrote this amazing concert, google it, here in you tube as Concierto de aranjuez Pepe Romero
I've seen that interview and have read (tho my Spanish isn't great) your description here and I think it's really a beautiful and touching story, just like the music!
Would you care to guess who Paco DeLucia (who does not read sheet-music) asked to coach him on Arnajuez?
Also, Sainz de la Maza may have played the Concerto more than twice - my mistake!
Yeah thanks man, thanks for your coment, i watched your channel, I really liked , i can see your are also Guitar fan, in fact Narciso Yepes fan, this is really good, you have some videos i`ve never seen in my live, where are you from?
do you have messenger? or email?
well, about Paco de Lucia, i can say, there is some intervew to Rodrigo they ask; who is the best ever player for the Aranjuez?
and Rodrigo Said Paco de Lucia is the best ever Player from Aranjuez
Yepes was not always among my favorites but now he's the best (ségun yo!). Paco DeLucia is a great artist but he needed help to play Aranjuez, so he asked Yepes, who accepted. Segovia was "pissed off" with Yepes so no wonder he didn't say Yepes was the best interpreter of Aranjuez!
I don't think any artist has brought more work and more talent to music than Narciso Yepes. From "Juegos Prohibidos" (age: 7) to the 10 string guitar, exceptional tremolo and 3-finger scale techniques as well as other compositions, arrangements and all the research... A career spanning nearly 50 years with 120-some concerts a year all around the world. He played until his illness made it impossible... Maybe there is no such thing as a "best guitarist" but Yepes was surely one of the greatest.

Goooood how's that techinque called that he does at about 7:40?? His technique is obviously unreal

Ivangekko 3 years ago 5
