Yes I know some screens are 16:10, but some are 16:9. 16:9 has become the standard. 720p (1280x720) and 1080p/i (1920x1080) are standards, and are both 16:9. No one uses 16:10 for video encoding. Theres no point telling people to use 16:10 just because your monitor is that resolution...
I captured a replay from a game on my computer it goes into the 16.9 ratio fine. Then when i use a video from my real camera it just comes up in the square not filling the whole preview screen. please help. im real frustrated.
Great ending, you can also change most video cameras to the wide screen format as well. It fact it would work better to have them both set. Happy holidays to you and yours.

because of newer resolutions . The HD videos work starting from 1280x800 , then it is 16:10 ...
In my laptop i see some HD videos here and it has no black frames in 16:10 videos
