And the song I was writing was left undone... I don't know why I spend my time writing songs I can't believe... with words that tear and strain to rhyme...
In the 70'[s I was in love with June, a farmers daughter, and as loved her so much I would try to write letters and poetry for her whist listening to S & G, and told her that this song epitomised all I wanted to say to her, and it became our song 'with words that strained and failed to rhymn'. Now middle aged I still find a great solace in this song and think to myself 'What a silly simple bastard that I was. Still think of June. Where are you?
Art speaks and looks like a dentist.. and i do love this stuff, to a tear I do, I weep for our childrens generation who have been assaulted with endless heartless filth. Soul , has survived darker ages... or has there been?
This version of the song is so beautiful. Art's voice fills my heart and soul. It has even inspired a poem that I'm writing--and another one probably left undone. I wish I can have someone with a voice as grand as Art's be priveleged to sing one of my songs. That's been a dream of mine for some time anyway.
Don't laugh... I had this song in my head all time when I was fifteen and in love with Paul Simon. Till today I am not ashamed for it. I feel I could still love him. :)
"my mind's distracted and diffused.... my thoughts r many miles away... they lie with u when yr asleep... and kiss u when u start yr day" um is it me or is that the most romantic line ever written....? :)
Hey, maybe you're listening too fast . . . I don't think it's not much slower than the original, though here and there it seems that Art slows it down when he holds certain notes a bit longer than he used to . . . Great song, one of my favourites . . reminds me of Don McLean's Crossroads from the same era . . . and also of a bunch of early Lightfoot songs . . .
i spent my childhood listening to my folks records of theirs. this brings tears to my eyes. watch the Concert in Central Park it is a fabulous performance.
I just came back from their concert in Tokyo. That was amazing and they kick off their show with Kathy's Song. My mother loved their music so I grew up with listening their songs. Their great songs reminds me a lot of good memories with mother.

I would've never believed it, but I see they've only gotten better. More years of understanding true love.

Song writers are our modern day poets; their songs the poems of our generation.

This is one of the most beautiful lovesongs ever written, but this performance is far too slow.

As others have pointed out, this is actually Kathy's song. Do you have any more videos, especially from Arts's solo set?

Thanks for the correction - fixed the song title now.
Sorry no other videos from me. Pity, Bright Eyes was amazing. Heard he dedicated to MJ in the following day's concert.
