Once the right of all workers to join a union is secured, union members can overturn the bureaucracy and careerism in their organizations and put them under workers' democratic control. Further, they can break with the Democrats and use the unions to build a mass party of labor, laying the groundwork for the building of a revolutionary movement. These are workable possibilities, if people aren't lazy and are willing to struggle for them.

Meanwhile, Palestinians should carry out similar reforms in their own organizations and parties: Democratize the parties and other such groups under rank and file control. Direct elections and a right to recall of all party leaders, representatives, etc. is key. No party leader, etc., should earn more for their role than a normal skilled worker. Further, the finances of these organizations should be open to their membership. Reclaim all Palestinian movements for the masses.
