@caveman15100 I can tell you from experience.. playing in a tux definitely SUCKS. Especially for percussionists. Sometimes, if you are not careful... The stick gets caught and easily messes up your playing! But as far as the dress i am not sure :p but different tux's and dresses can have different playing experiences
@lozziecap Musicians within an orchestra or wind band will often acknowledge a member of the ensemble's excellence on stage by tapping their feet on the stage. It is similar to the audience clapping to acknowledge a soloist's performance. basically to say 'good job' and provide encouragement during the show

i wonder if a dress is as hard to play in as a tuxedo i never have played in a tux but the first time i wore one i couldnt stand it

Very, very good. But I wondered: Do orchestral musicians always stamp on the stage like that or did they do it especially so you could feel it?
